Always wanted to know the perfect workout to create toned legs and leaner limbs? Well here it is!
Complete this 30min circuit 3 times per week for the next 30 days! It will get the heart rate up as well as shape the legs. This is the real secret to obtaining those killer pins you desire. It is what I like to call a ‘Shred and Sculpt’ workout which means you are doing resistance training whilst burning fat and calories. This workout is also about getting maximal results in minimal time.
Here is how it works…
Complete 20 repetitions of each exercise in a 4 station circuit. If it is a single leg exercise i.e. the Step Up and Rear Foot Elevated Lunge complete 20 on each leg. The best news is you can complete this workout from the comfort of your own home. All you will need is a chair.
Move quickly from one exercise to the next making sure you keep the heart rate up the entire time.
The top leg is the working leg; turn the toe out at a slight angle keeping the chest proud, tummy in and the shoulders down and back.
Use the chair as a guide to depth of squat. Turn the toes out slightly at a 15 degree angle. Keep the weight in the heels, shoulders down and back, draw the belly in and chest stays proud through the entire movement.
Rear Foot Elevated Lunge
Place back leg on the chair. Keep the hips in even or in a horizontal straight line. Chest is proud, shoulders down and back. Weight is through the front leg turning the toe out at a slight angle. Lower down through the front leg keeping weight in the front heel.
Use the chair as the depth guide touching the butt to the step each repetition. Jump as high as you can, keep the weight in the heels, chest proud and tummy in tight. For the low impact options take the jump into a Bodyweight squat.
