Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima has announced she is pregnant with her second child and Transformers beauty, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reveals she was bullied by her agents early in her career.
Adriana Lima is pregnant- again!
The 30-year-old model and her husband, former NBA star Marko Jaric, are “very excited” about welcoming their second child into the world later this year.
Adriana – who has a two-year-old daughter Valentina with Marko – told People, “The entire family is very excited, especially Valentina. She keeps blowing kisses to my belly and saying, ‘Kisses for the baby.’ ”
The Victoria’s Secret beauty – who met Marko in 2006 and married him in February 2009 – has previously proclaimed motherhood to be the “best job in the world”.
She has said, “The best job in the world for me is being a mom. I never thought I could love so much. I always thought, does unconditional love exist? Now I know it does because I feel it.”
Brazilian Adriana previously admitted she knew she wanted to settle down with Marko and have children when they first met.
She said, “I knew he was the one and I could see myself married to him and with a big family.”
Adriana follows closely behind her fellow VS Angel, Alessandra Ambrosio who looks just about ready to give birth to baby number two. How long do you think it will be before Adriana returns to the runway?
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley claims she was “bullied” by modelling agents when she started out.
The Victoria’s Secret beauty admitted she was more naïve when she first began working in the fashion industry and found it difficult to stand up for herself when she was feeling under pressure and overworked.
Rosie told The Guardian Weekend magazine, “It was hard. You can get a bit bullied. You’re a child surrounded by adults and you don’t have a voice. You get pushed around by agents; your needs don’t matter. You say that you need a day off, or that you don’t feel comfortable doing such-and-such, and people just don’t listen.”
However, the 24-year-old model-and-actress – who replaced Megan Fox as the female lead in the ‘Transformers’ franchise last year and is the face of Burberry and Marks & Spencer Autograph – says the power balance has shifted in her favour in recent years.
She said, “The last couple of years, things have been different. I have earned my right to be heard. All I ever wanted to do was to be part of the industry, to collaborate with people and have a voice. I love fashion, I love what I do and I have an opinion … They treat me like I’m part of the family, not just some clothes hanger.”
