In New York City some of Hollywood’s biggest stars stepped out for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in the city’s Skylight Soho.
Twi-hards camped out in tents at L.A. Live to get a glimpse of the Twilight stars at the LA premiere that took place Monday night (LA time) this week. We checkout what Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner wore and how they handled their intense fans.
Brad Pitt has made a statement saying he’ll be retiring in just three years! We check out the facts behind this hard-to-believe idea.
Style Celebrations
The very chic Skylight Soho was the place to be for A-listers when the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in New York City were held. This event started eight years ago with the aim to give up-and-coming designers the best shot at a long career in the tricky fashion world.
This year the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue chose to honour Joseph Altuzarra. Runners up were jewellery designer Pamela Love and brand Creatures of the Wind.
Stars such as Amanda Seyfriend, Olivia Wilde, Zoe Kravitz, Mia Wasikowa and, of course, Anna Wintour were all there to show their support. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara turned heads in a peach Calvin Klein dress which she teamed with dark lipstick.
Amanda Seyfried pulled out all the stops in a feathered white frock from Parabal Gurung while Olivia Wilde opted for an LBD with cut-outs from Cushnie et Ochs.
It was indeed a stylish night!
Breaking Dawn Premiere in LA
Dressed to impress, Kristen Stewart stepped on to the red carpet premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 in a seriously impressive gown. The J Mendel navy, sequinned number had a side split that showed off the 21-year-old’s long legs. She teamed the gown with simple black Jimmy Choo’s and wore her hair up and back.
Fans, who had camped out for several nights to get a glimpse of the stars, were nothing short of ecstatic at the premiere and Stewart spoke kindly of her fans to Access Hollywood, saying, “I love those guys It’s all good. It’s a little kooky, but it’s all right.”
Luckily the fans camping out paid off, before the premiere they got a visit from some supporting cast members including the Cullen family patriarch Peter Facinell. Stephanie Meyer, the woman who penned the series, showed up with 600 pre-autographed copies of ‘Breaking Dawn’ the book.
Later, when the event begun and Kristen Stewart showed off that thigh-high split, Robert Pattinson arrived in a grey suit and Taylor Lautner in navy with brown accents. The boys looked very dapper and the big three stars of the film posed for some of their best ever shots together.
After the premiere, Lautner and cast mates like Kellan Lutz stuck around for the after party at Nokia theatre but Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson snuck out before the celebrations.
One more sleep until it hits cinemas!
Brad Pitt to Quit
It’s almost impossible to imagine Hollywood today without Brad Pitt. The mega-star has played so many amazing roles and inspired so many actors. But the man of the ‘Moneyball’ moment has come out and said he will be retiring in just three years!
This would mean he retires at 50 but it’s not like he’ll stop working. Pitt said, “I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. And getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise.”
Since the interview Pitt went in to damage control, telling a South Korea Press Conference, “I wasn’t putting an exact deadline on my expiration date. But I see it coming. I have other interests.”
Three years is not a long time, Brad! We certainly can’t imagine you off our screens by then.
