Is the name Johanna Johnson familiar?
If it isn’t – and chances are you won’t have heard of her, as she’s an exclusive niche bridal and gown designer with a shop in Sydney’s Paddington – you will soon.
At last night’s Emmy Awards, Mad Men vixen Christina Hendricks showed up in a hand-beaded silver Johnson design, and promptly made it onto the best-dressed lists around the world.
Johnson is apparently flabbergasted by the attention – but Hendricks has loved her outfits ever since a stylist found her one of Johnson’s beaded capes to wear to a movie premiere.
Inspired by this, Johnson took a gamble – she made the dress specially to Hendricks’ measurements, and sent it to her as a gift.
Ever since the dress appeared on Christina, sales at Johnson’s online boutique have skyrocketed.
Given that Hendricks is notorious for being unable to dress her voluptuous curves properly, Johnson deserves props – in more ways than one.

Trends At The Emmys: Red, More Red And- Midriffs?
It seemed that everybody at the Emmy Awards was looking for a gown in scarlet, vermillion or scorching red.
Lea Michele, who wore Marchesa (Marchesa apparently swore they were only dressing her, but there were several other celebrity ladies in their gowns – does Rescu. smell a little while lie?), plumped for full-body sleeved red.
Meanwhile, Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev decided on a sweetheart neckline and folds, and winner for Mildred Pierce Kate Winslet wore a demure cap-sleeved number – both in luminescent shades of berry-red.
Sofia Vegara went for fitted red-orange, and was a complete knock-out – as she is wont to be.
The biggest miss of the night? Gwyneth Paltrow, who tried entirely too hard in a two-piece Pucci which was both transparent and weirdly proportioned, showing off her (no doubt very hard-earned) midriff.
Paltrow has two children and an Oscar; perhaps it is time to put it away.

Naomi Campbell Engaged – Kind Of
Naomi Campbell has expensive taste, in boyfriends no less than in any other sense.
And her billionaire Russian partner, Vladislav Doronin, has treated her very well since they first were linked in 2008, with reports of yachts, fireworks and expensive parties. Campbell moved to Moscow to live with him last year.
However, Doronin has yet to divorce his Russian wife, to whom he is still very much legally married, even if they’ve been separated for many years. His wife has given interviews to papers signifying that she will never divorce, and initially dismissed Naomi as a blip in their marriage.
Which is why it caused more than a little stir when Campbell showed up to New York Fashion Week wearing a very sizeable diamond engagement ring.
Perhaps Doronin has managed to divorce his wife at last?
In any case, any wedding featuring Campbell is sure to be drama-filled. She turned up late to Kate Moss’s wedding, prompting the supermodel to say, laughing, “Trying to upstage me, bitch?”

The End Of New York Fashion Week: Provocative Toddlers
Eden Wood is a veteran of beauty pageants in the US. She’s won over 300, and is the breakout star of the reality show Toddlers & Tiaras.
She made a large impression at one of the last shows of NYFW as the star of the ‘Cowgirl Riders Debutante Fashion Show’.
The show, which is not an official Fashion Week event, featured many 6-year-olds strutting their stuff in cowboy-themed gear.
And Wood performed in several routines which shocked even the jaded New York Post, who reported that she “slapped her rear, wiggled suggestively and whipped off her denim jacket”.
She sang a song called “Cutie Patootie”, which she has already sung on Good Morning America.
Wood has now retired from beauty pageants for bigger pastures, and caused a near-riot in Australia several weeks ago when she refused to appear at a supermarket meet-and-greet due to concerns for her safety.
The New York Post was not impressed by the event.
