We love it when we get to have two of our favourite things at the exact same time and the exclusive Aje dinner hosted by Tempus Two this week was no exception. The whimsical, feminine designs of Aje combined with a delicious meal with matched Tempus Two wines? Yes, please!
The dinner, attended by 25 VIP guests was more than just a culinary delight. Tempus Two brought famed paper artist James Gordon on board to create a table setting that was truly worthy of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Overflowing with handcut bouquets made from French water colour flowers, the table setting was almost as fashionable as the Aje designs that guests enthusiastically discussed post-show. Like the cool, chic womenswear, meticulously laboured over with embellishment and sequins, each flower on the table was created by hand. No templates were used, ensuring that each leaf and petal was unique. It’s in the detail that VIP treatment truly lies and the dinner was an indulgent, high-fashion success.
Aje’s nostalgic ‘Garden of Yesterday’ collection was exhibited under a canopy of real fresh flowers at The Theatre in Carriageworks. The sartorial garden, the paper-art garden and the feast of culinary and vino delights made for an evening that will linger long in the memory.
