Suki Waterhouse Doodles For sass + bide
Never heard of Suki Waterhouse? You soon will.
She’s a Brit model whose big eyes and blunt blonde fringe take us straight back to the 60s – and she’s dating Bradley Cooper, for an extra dose of cool.
And now sass + bide have used her talents for their latest campaign – and they’re not just restricted to being a clotheshorse.
Set in London, the new campaign includes a set of pictures that were digitally doodled by the artistic Waterhouse herself.
They’re whimsical, creative and graffiti-inspired, fitting with the offbeat hippie sophisticate vibe of the sass + bide Autumn aesthetic.
The look? Art Deco print trousers, loose feathers and fringe, loads of texture, beading on jackets and one truly show-stopping glittery dress. It’s clear the sass + bide duo have taken the season’s metallic mode and run with it.
And as a plus, Waterhouse recorded herself reading a love letter to Middleton and Clarke – in ripped jeans, in a bath. She says she loves them “from the bottom of her scrawny heart”.
What do you think of our sneak peek at the autumn sass + bide line – full speed ahead?

Barbie Gets A London Street Style Makeover
Barbie has received one of her oddest fashion makeovers yet – as a London style maven.
In a week where she’s also been given a Mars Explorer outfit (Barbie was, of course, one of the world’s first female astronauts, in doll-world at least), she’s been re-styled by three of London’s most up-and-coming designers.
The ‘London street style’ look inspires designers the world over, and the British capital is known for being the home of punk and rave style.
The three designers, Fred Butler, Nasir Mazhar and Sister by Sibling, might not be household names yet, but judging by their Barbie looks they’re not going to remain out of the mainstream for long.
The collabs are in celebration of a new Barbie boutique in Brit department store Selfridges, and even if you’re no Mattel fan, they’re a great look at what’s currently hot on London’s streets.
So what are the looks?
Nasir Mazhar has decked out her four Barbies in hip-hop inspired style that would be snatched up by Rihanna in two seconds. Midriff tops, tracksuit-inspired gear, huge hoop earrings and Mazhar’s signature huge ostentatious slogans making fun of the waistbands on designer underpants – Miley Cyrus wouldn’t say no either.
Sister by Sibling’s gone the entire other way, showing the current craze for vintage and prim-and-proper with a bit of edge. All four are dressed in girlie skirt-and-jacket pieces, twinsets, matching bobble hats and Missoni-style knits. Take note – the 1940s gone over the top will be big when it gets cooler.
And then there’s Fred Butler. We predict Lady Gaga will love his looks if they’re ever made full-size – they’re geometric hypercolour matrixes in all sorts of colours and space-age shapes, including some truly spectacular shoes.
Which of the London street style Barbies would you make your own?

It’s Cat Week At Vogue – Our Fave Feline Fashions
It’s Cat Week at American Vogue. Why? Who knows.
But the internet is suddenly filled with Vogue fashionistas who’ve taken their cats to the Conde Nast offices, draped them in designer bags and accessories, or simply (in the case of legendary Grace Coddington) posed as if for a fashion calendar.
Maybe it’s a case of catching cat fever from Karl Lagerfeld’s fashionable feline Choupette. However, it’s evident the cat is all the rage. Here’s how to get in on the action.
Cat’s ear headpieces continue to be an eccentric little accessory around the catwalks. The most famous are made by Maison Michel for a pretty penny, and have been worn by the Olsen twins amongst others (above). On the cheaper end of the scale, we love Arrogant Cat‘s bright red headpiece, complete with little felt ears, or their pearl ear-headband.
More about celebrating it in full-on style? ASOS has a midriff neon cat-print tee perfect for beachwear, while American Apparel‘s long-sleeved button-down in black and white cats is meow-licious.
Or, if it gets a tad cooler, why not the Moschino Cheap & Chic cashmere sweater worn by fashionistas at chilly shows? It’s emblazoned with a black cat prancing and the word ‘Catwalk’. Doesn’t get much more Vogue than that (above).
If you’re more a dress person, pick up the loose See by Chloe jersey dresses with cartoon cat prints. There’s two to choose from – a cat and mouse, or a resplendent black cat in an epic bow. Andre Leon Talley would approve.
Accessories-wise, we’re loving kooky US label Syndrome, which has cat-shaped purses in black, white and pink, on long gold chains. Or there’s Olympia Le Tan‘s clutch (above) in the shape of an old copy of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof – definitely a collector’s item.
Want earrings that truly spell your love for cats? Cartier‘s Panthere line is the iconic choice. They’ve been a symbol for high fashion for nearly a century (above). However, even the simplest pair will set you back nearly $5000, so if you’re in the mood to budget, perhaps the Kenzo cubic zirconia necklace in the shape of a tiger? Or look at Tatty Devine‘s cat range – her fun perspex cat bangles and rings are a fraction of the price for some retro fun.
Charlotte Olympia‘s Glitter Kitty slippers (above), in silver with cat’s faces embroidered on the toes, are an all-out statement of feline love. Want to be more subtle? Invest in some kitten heels. Christian Louboutin is doing some delicate bright-pink slingbacks, or there’s Burberry Prorsum‘s leopard-print kitten heels to make a more obvious look.
Or, if you’re more a sunglasses type, Alexander Wang and Miu Miu (above) have some glorious cat’s eye frames to look the feline part.
Will you be getting in on Vogue’s cat frenzy?
