Bonds Uses First Non-Aussie Face – And It’s Robert Pattison’s Girlfriend
Bonds Australia couldn’t be more dinky-di – but they’ve decided to go more global for their latest campaign.
And they’ve courted column inches by using one of the most notorious models of the moment.
It’s Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley. And if that doesn’t make her famous enough, she’s currently in the midst of a tabloid storm alleging that she’s Robert Pattison’s new girlfriend.
That wouldn’t be such a problem if she hadn’t been his ex Kristen Stewart’s co-star in the film The Runaways, and apparently one of her besties – until now. Drama!
Keough certainly has the modelling chops to back up her campaign – she’s done shoots for Dolce & Gabbana, amongst others – but some commentators are finding the new American model a bit hard to swallow.
The comments on Bonds’ Facebook page are livid, and many express their ‘disappointment’ that Bonds couldn’t find an Aussie girl.
However, as far as getting coverage in the news, it’s certainly a shrewd move – even if when they hired her, they had no idea she’d suddenly be secretly dating the most eligible bachelor on the planet.
And the Bonds underwear she models is classic as ever. Clean lines, cute panties, boy-shorts – everything we know and love.
We suspect Pattison approves of his new lady love’s job, too. That is some very cute lingerie.
What do you think of the new Riley Keough campaign?

Model Madness: Gemma Ward Pregnant & Karen’s Restraining Order
We thought Elle’s classy secret wedding on Fiji was going to be the top model news of the week, but the hits just keep on coming.
Gemma Ward, one of Australia’s most famous models before her retirement in 2007, has announced that she’s pregnant by fellow model David Letts.
She’s six months along, and released the news to Vogue Australia – who gave her some of her first covers. That first step led to her global domination of the modelling game: she was one of the world’s top-earning models before she quietly stepped down in 2007.
Eventually years later it was revealed that the death of her then-partner, Aussie Heath Ledger, was behind her disappearance from the public eye. She’s since signed up with IMG again, but we definitely think she deserves some happiness. Mazel tov!
In less happy news, red-haired supermodel Karen Elson’s split with musician Jack White has gotten very nasty indeed.
Elson, who’s featured in every Vogue worth mentioning and is a favourite of Louis Vuitton, has lodged a restraining order against White, whom she married on the Amazon River back in 2006.
The problem? His major musician ego, apparently. He’d send her abusive emails insisting that she and their two kids not be allowed to interact with rival musicians and their families, and she’s gone to the judge to get it to stop.
He’s issued an indignant denial, but it’s a far cry from their civilised ‘divorce party’, where they invited all their friends to celebrate the end of their years together.
We’ll keep you posted on both stories as they develop.

Giorgio Armani Moves Into Movie Set Design
Planning on seeing a thriller this year? Jot down Paranoia in your diary.
After all, Giorgio Armani himself had a hand in its design.
The film, starring Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman, is all about industrial spying, business espionage, sharp suits and car chases. Very Armani.
And Giorgio had a big role in the backstage preparations, contributing furniture from his Armani design lines and working on the interior sets in which characters clash and betray one another.
The aesthetic? Sleek, cold, threatening, wealthy and very Hitchcock. We like.
Lest you think he completely abandoned his roots, he also partnered with the costume designer to create suiting for the film’s main morally ambiguous titan of industry, Harrison Ford.
Any high-end CEO worth his salt needs an Armani suit, and there are certain things you cannot fake on camera – so Armani simply made him real ones.
Harrison Ford is, Armani says, a “longtime friend”, and he apparently relished the opportunity to costume a “villain”.
It’s not the first time Armani has dipped into the movie business. The film American Gigolo, which made Richard Gere an A-lister, had two stars: Gere and his amazing, hand-created Armani suits. The film has faded, but the costumes are still legendary.
Will you be sneaking a peek of the Armani thriller now that you know just who was behind the scenes?
