Yesterday the Australian Recording Industry Association announced 2011 ARIA Award nominees with Gotye proving the major player of the year. Over in LA,
Emma Stone hosted the dinner party dreams are made of for Giorgio Armani and Vanity Fair.
Meanwhile, Beyonce has another project in the works for her and her mother Tina Knwles’ House of Dereon range and Kate Hudson has been spotted in New York sporting brunette locks!
ARIA Award Nominees
Yesterday the nominations for the 2011 ARIA Awards were officially announced at the Sydney Theatre.
Unsurprisingly Melbourne artist Gotye, who stole our hearts with his track featuring Kimbra ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’, racked up a huge seven nominations for the single including Single of the Year, Highest Selling Single, Best Pop Release, Best Male Artist and Best Video.
Sydney band Boy and Bear came away with seven nominations of their own for their album 
‘Moonfire’ and hit single ‘Feeding Line’. They’ll be competeing against Gotye for the Single of the Year title.
Perth hip-hop act Drapht was a surprise front-runner, receiving nominations for Best Male Artist, Best Urban Artist and Single of the Year.
Eskimo Joe, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunipingu, Birds of Tokyo, Guy Sebastian, the Jezabels, Keith Urban and Nick Cave’s Grinderman all scored multiple nominations as well.
Emma Stone Hosts Armani Dinner
The gorgeous Emma Stone played host to a seriously fabulous Giorgio Armani/Vanity Fair private dinner for guests including Katie Holmes, Jessica Alba, Camilla Belle, Rachel Zoe, Amber Heard, Josh Hartnett, Adam Brody and more.
22-year-old Stone looked gorgeous in a striped, metallic frock from Giorgio Armani’s Spring 2012 collection and Brian Atwood pumps.
Beyonce’s Maternity Wear
Obviously Beyonce is feeling the lack of stylish maternity wear out there as she has decided, at five months pregnant, to create a collection of outfits for pregnant women as part of her House of Dereon range.
BANG Showbiz reports that the star said of the range, “All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman. It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant.” The 30-year-old star will be designing the range with her mother Tina Knowles.
Kate Hudson Goes Brunette
Kate Hudson is one star we thought we’d never see sporting anything but golden blonde locks! It seems we were wrong as the mum of two has been spotted around New York City donning a head of curly dark brown hair. It’s not forever though, the actress was wearing a wig for her role in The Reluctant Fundamentalist. This is her first role since the actress took some time off to bond with her family after the birth of baby Bing.
