Neiman Marcus Christmas Book 2013
Having been lucky enough for our editor to interview the incomparable Ken Downing when he was recently in Sydney, we were understandably thrilled about the offerings in the 2013 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. This year marks the very first festive season that Neiman Marcus will ship to Australia, which means that not only can we lust after the delectable gifts offered online by the department store, but we can click “add to cart!”
This is the 87th edition of the legendary book, which offers an array of spectacular ‘Fantasy Gifts’ for the rich and famous; this year the gifts include a limited edition Aston Martin and a Forevermark Diamond adventure into the heart of Africa! Take a look here for a full run-down of the fantasy gift selection– it really does fulfil its promise to ‘cater to people’s wildest dreams!’
For those of us not in the market for a gift in the seven-digit category this year, the Christmas Book includes innovations like The Monogram Shop, where everything from silk pyjamas to iPad cases can be personalised, as well as a tasteful edit of gifts under $250. We also absolutely adore the Ken Downing Gift Collection, curated by the Fashion Director himself and filled with gems like Neiman Marcus cashmere throws, the Game Box with Cards and Dice and William Yeoward ‘Old Fashioned’ tumblers.

Le Specs x Craig & Karl
We’ve written about dynamic duo Craig&Karl before- now they have teamed up with Australian sunglasses label Le Specs to create an eye-popping collection for Autumn Winter ’14. The collection was launched earlier this week and the results are a candy wonderland of playful colours and shapes. They remind us of Katy Perry’s California Girls and ’60s pop art- cute, whimsical, but also very cool and unlike anything else in the market right now.
Le Specs designer Hamish Tame.says of the collaboration:
“We were looking to work with someone who had a fresh take on sunglasses and who could bring something new and totally different to the eyewear market. Craig & Karl’s work had always caught my attention, because their approach felt so now, is instantly recognisable and has the same bold and tongue in cheek attitude as the Le Specs brand.”
Put a note in your planner now- the collection drops in stores from February 2014.
