Over the weekend stars such as Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez took to Vegas for some serious partying for the iHeartRadio music festival while the Artists For Haiti auction raised a clean $14 million with stars like Jennifer Aniston as big contributors.
Finally, Molly Sims was married over the weekend! Read on for all the details of her wedding.
iHeartRadio Music Festival
Clear Channel radio played host to the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas over the weekend to promote the station’s personalised music website that allows users to create custom radio stations.
Ryan Seacrest introduced the first act, the Black Eyed Peas, who performed to a screaming crowd and the 10 million listeners across America. Jay-Z took the stage with Alicia Keys to perform their hit ‘Empire State of Mind’ and thanked the crowd for singing along, with Jay-Z pointing out, “I know I am on the West Coast”
Jennifer Lopez proved her split from long-time husband Marc Anthony has done her nothing but good with an incredibly energetic and fabulous performance at the iHeartRadio music festival in Vegas over the weekend. Heating things up in a red ruffled dress and a few flashes of skin, the star sand hits such as ‘Jenny from the Block’, ‘On the Floor’, ‘Let’s Get Loud’ and more. She also thrilled fans with the unveiling of her new single ‘Papi’.
Lady Gaga closed the huge festival and Justin Timberlake poked a little fun at her when introducing her performance, saying, “I was gonna come out here dressed in a giant egg. Someone told me the next performer did that already. Then I thought something a little crazier like a meat dress but then I guess she did that too!”
This absolutely star-studded festival was a huge success and certainly gave iHeartRadio the props they wanted!
Artists for Haiti Auction
Jennifer Aniston was one of the biggest buyers at the Artists For Haiti charity auction held at Christies in New York on Friday night.
Aniston and her boyfriend Justin Theroux spent a whopping $450,000 on a painting by artist Glenn Ligon titled ‘Stranger #44’. The painting was valued at just $150,000 – $200,000 so it seems the pair were in the mood for generosity.
Aniston was joined by celebs like Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn and Ben Stiller, who in fact organised the fundraiser with his Stiller Foundation.
The benefit raised $14 million for Haiti with the top seller being Marlene Dumas’ ‘My Mother Before She Became My Mother,’ which sold for $2 million.
Molly Sims Marries Scott Stuber
Molly Sims, the ultimate slashie with a resume that includes model, actress, jewellery designer and host, has just married producer Scott Stuber.
It was an intimate ceremony for the couple who chose to wed in Napa Valley, California in front of friends and family but with this pair, ‘intimate’ still means there were more than a few celebs in attendance including Fergie and Josh Duhamel. Yifat Oren and Stephanie Cove were the brains behind the event, wedding planners who were also responsible for the nuptials of Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth and Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
