Last night Myer showed off their Spring/Summer 2011 collection with Jennifer Hawkins at the forefront. We see who sat front row and the fashions our favourite Miss Universe showed off.
The Kardashian Kollection handbags are under fire with a brand calling copycat on one of their designs, read on for all the details.
Finally, Gwen Stefani is getting ready to launch a new line of children’s clothes with Target!
Jennifer Hawkins Storms the Runway
Despite the chill the fashionable folk of Sydney, including our own Glynis Traill-Nash, had summer on the brain last night as they made their way to Carriageworks in Sydney to celebrate Myer’s Spring/Summer 2011/12 Collection launch.
To open, ambassador Jennifer Hawkins appeared wearing an orange and pink dress with a sequinned gold jacket by Myer’s new addition, Sass & Bide.
She appeared four more times throughout the huge show in designs from Wayne Cooper, Simona, Kym Ellery and from her own collection Cozi.
Hawkins fiancé Jake couldn’t be there on the night but she told media, “I saw Jake this morning — he bought me some flowers and a candle with a little note saying good luck for tonight, it was really sweet.”
In the front row, Rick Lee Coulter was turning heads looking slim and fabulous. Laura Dundovic, Jodi Gordon, Sonia Kruger, Pip Edwards, Erin McNaught and many more stars were also there to show their support and celebrate stunning summer fashion.
Kardashian Kollection Kopy-Kat
The Kardashians are no strangers to product endorsement scandal, having been involved with a very dodgy credit card for teens just last year. This time it’s their handbag collection for Sears that is under fire with womenswear brand Botkier who are claiming the one of the bags is an imitation of their ‘Trigger Clyde’ bag from Fall 2009.
Botkier aren’t afraid to publicize the fact either, writing on their blog, “We just discovered how our Botkier ‘Clyde’ was simply copied by Kardashian Kollection for Sears. They say imitation is the highest form of flattery but we don’t think so…”
A spokeman from the brand told Fashionista they were in the process of sending a cease and desist letter to Sears!
Gwen Stefani Designing Children’s Wear
Gwen Stefani must be feeling a little uninspired by her son’s, Zuma (2) and Kingston (5), wardrobes and is setting out to change that. The gorgeous mum is teaming up with Target to launch an affordable Japanese anime-inspired clothing line for babies, children and twins!
The line will be called Harajuku Mini and is set to debut in stores November 13. She told Women’s Wear Daily, “I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the super cute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed.”
