Richard Branson celebrated with friends like Kate Winset at the opening ceremony for his commercial spaceport in New Mexico.
Just when we thought she’d finally calmed down for good, Lindsay Lohan has been handcuffed in a Los Angeles court and taken in to custody.
Finally, Shia LaBeouf was caught out in a bar fight in Canada this week, we find out what the 25-year-old star was doing getting stuck in the middle of a punch-up.
Kate Winslet Celebrates with Richard Branson
It’s above and beyond for Richard Branson who has set his heights higher that the stars, literally.
The British billionaire has opened a luxury terminal where extremely wealthy tourists will be able to blast into space for $200,000 per return trip. It’s called Spaceport America and is set to begin flying people out after the end of 2012.
This week, Branson had a bit of an opening party for the venue and Kate Winslet was there with her new boyfriend in tow. The 26-year-old actress met her new mad, Ned Rocknroll, during a star on Branson’s private Caribbean island, Necker, during a stay in September. Ned, 33, is in fact Branson’s nephew and will be working for the space company.
The Titanic star and her new man were basically inseparable all day, holding hands while they sipped on champagne. And, no, that is not Ned’s real name! He had his name legally changed from Ned Abel Smith.
Lindsay Lohan Back in Cuffs
After Lindsay Lohan stole a $2,500 necklace in May, she was sentenced to 360 hours of community service. The star was lucky to have got off so easy and, at first, it seemed like she’d grin and bear the hours working at the Downtown Women’s Center and maybe even clean herself up.
But it seems that while the 25-year-old has been gallivanting around with designer Philipp Plein she’s been ditching her community service. Lohan was handcuffed in a Los Angeles court and taken away after the Judge said she had blown off nine scheduled appointments at the centre and had thus been kicked out of the program.
The sheriff’s deputy confirmed to People that the $100,000 bail that was set will be processed at the courthouse and the actress will be released. She then faces the judge once again on November 2 to formally determine whether she violated probation.
Shia LaBeouf in Bar Fight
Shia LaBeouf has been keeping busy in Vancouver filming new movie The Company You Keep and, it seems, partying a little too hard while he’s at it. The Transformers star reportedly became embroiled in a fight outside Vancouver’s Cinema Public House after being kicked out of the venue by security staff.
Footage of the scene shows Shia being punched by an anonymous man as he lies on the sidewalk. After this, several men step in to pull the actor away from the incident.
One report mentioned that both Shia and the other man were extremely intoxicated and it was all a case of drunken misunderstandings.
