Kristen Davis Adopts
It’s almost a case of life imitating art! Kristen Davis, most famous for her role as Charlotte in Sex and the City, has just announced her adoption of a baby girl.
The 46-year-old, who is single, welcomed Gemma Rose Davis to her world through an American adoption agency a few months ago but had been keeping her from the media. Davis has now released a statement and photo to People. She said, “This is something I have wanted for a very long time. Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed.”
The actress will be juggling motherhood with acting and her role as an Oxfam ambassador. Her latest film, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, hits theatres in America February so we can expect to see a bit more of Davis on the red carpet.
Paul McCartney’s Wedding
When one of the Beatle’s gets married, you expect some pretty serious romance. That’s exactly what friends and family of Paul McCartney and New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell got as they watched the famous couple exchange their vows in London over the weekend.
The couple have been dating since 2007 and were engaged in May. As they arrived at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, their guests, including Ringo Starr, Barbara Walters and more, cheered on. Shevell, 51, wore a very chic knee-length ivory dress and shoes designed by her new stepdaughter Stella McCartney. Stella McCartney was also the woman behind the design of her father’s navy blue suit.
During the ceremony, McCartney gave Shevell a an incredible Neil Lane diamond eternity band featuring 5-carats worth of square cut diamonds. After the couple said, ‘Love me Do’, they left Town Hall to be met with a shower of pink and white rose petals. Aww!
Prince Harry in America
Prince Harry has landed in America ready for his Apache helicopter state in the naval base in El Centro, California. Once upon a time, the Prince may have been able to visit America with less fuss but since his brother’s wedding to Kate Middleton, the entire Royal family have been thrust into the limelight.
Unsurprisingly, Harry didn’t waste any time after landing in California, after just one night to presumably recover from jetlag, the Prince a few of his mates visited a pub near San Diego and enjoyed a burger and a beer. Bar manager Ted Taylor told People, “He said, ‘I’m glad to be here’… he was very personable. He was a nice guy, very low-key. A couple of girls wanted to take pictures but they said no.”
The Prince and seven of his friends then headed to Andaz Hotel in San Diego where he hung out on the Ivy Rooftop with 20 friends, some drinks and the rugby.
