All through this chilly Winter week, RESCU have been dreaming of Summer. Luckily, we have had a multitude of reasons to get into a tropical headspace, with international label launches aplenty. We lusted after Michael Kors‘ Summer collection and were washed up in a perpetual island holiday at the Tommy Bahama Sydney store launch. We also took a peek at Gary Bigeni‘s fresh site, and allowed Dita Von Teese to get us in the mood for dramatic eyewear;

Michael Kors, the king of East Coast sporty glamour has released his Spring ’13 collection in Australia, and Rescu. have more than one item on our wish-list!
Getting on board with the luxury sneaker trend, we adore the ‘Fulton High-Top’ in gold, vanilla and nude, with a chunky MK logo clip, and cool metallic detailing. Also amazing are the ‘Boerum Slip-Ons’ in silver glitter, with a casual elasticised canvas design. A trend to watch out for next summer; ‘phosphorescent brights.’ Michael Kor’s enamel bangles and cuffs are not-quite-neon, realised in candy pink and buttery gold, an ideal way to inject a pop of colour into your ensemble, or to be layered for a look of over-the-top opulence.
Kors’ bags and leather accessories, are, as always bang on trend, simultaneously playful and true to the sexy/sporty Michael Kors aesthetic. The ‘Jet Set’ collection totes are realised in vibrant candy tones of cobalt, green and fuchsia, whilst the double-wrap leather watches in the same hues channel the street style trend of timepiece jewellery.

Dita Eyewear Fall 2013 Lookbook
Dita Von Teese has released her new eyewear campaign, which is dark, sumptuous and elegant, everything you would expect from the dark ‘Queen of Burlesque.’
Dita Eyewear; the LA based cult accessories label presents its Fall 2013 lookbook campaign starring Dita alongside legendary proprietor of the Shamrock Social Club, Mark Mahony. True to Dita’s sartorial vintage referencing, the “Legends “ lookbook is inspired by ’60s icons like Steve McQueen, JFK and Jackie O, comprises of embellished oversized frames secretary-style cat’s eyes s for woman and graphic, delicately wrought frames for men. Each pair of shades feels like they could have been lifted from a ‘60s gangster film, and will no doubt inspire that insouciant rebellious cool in the wearer.
