Celebrities React to Paul Walker Death
Yesterday we were saddened and shocked to hear that Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker had died in a car crash in California.
The actor and his business partner Roger Rodas were nearby afundraiser for Reach Out Worldwide — a foundation the pair had founded together — when the Porsche they were moving was in the middle of a collision in Valencia, LA. The car was engulfed in flames and both passengers were pronounced as dead at the scene.
It has since been reported that Walker’s 15 year old daughter Meadow was attending the charity event, which was raising money for the Philippines, and was witness to her father’s tragic death.
A representative for the Los Angeles County Coroner told TMZ that the bodies are currently unidentifiable and that their autopsies will most likely be delayed until later this week. Walker’s publiscist Ame Van Iden confirmed the actor’s death.
Since the news struck, colleagues and friends of Walker have been sharing their commemorations. Fast and the Furious co-star Vin Diesel posted a photograph of himself with the star with the message, “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless.”
Ludacris took to Twitter to share, “All my strength, love & faith to the Walker family during this heartbreaking time. We find our strength in his light. Love you brother.”
James Franco was another to send his condolences, saying, “#RIPPaulWalker – he was a lovely person – so sweet and grounded. My heart goes out to his family.”
Paul Walker was just 40 years of age, and his business partner Rodas was just 38.
Fifty Shades of Grey Images Released
After the multiple delays, including Charlie Hunman pulling out of the Christian Grey role, it’s great to finally see the cameras rolling on the Fifty Shades of Grey set and now news has hit that we could be getting double the dose of 50 Shades come 2015.
Producer Dana Bruetti has told media there could be two versions of the movie released — one a little edgier than the other to account for younger audiences. She told Sunday Times, “Everybody could go and enjoy the R version, and then if they really wanted to see it again and get a little bit more gritty with it then have that NC-17 version out there as well.”
The film, which was originally supposed to have been released in July 2014, is now due for release February 15 so we’ve got quite a wait still to go! In the meantime, check out the films of Summer 2013/14 that we can’t wait to see.
Charles Saatchi Regrets Email
Despite having sent an email which then went public telling ex-wife Nigella Lawson that he believed, “every word the Grillos have said” about the celebrity chef doing drugs on a daily basis, art dealer Charles Saatchi has now done a bit of a backflip, telling the court he had no proof that his ex-wife Nigella Lawson ever took drugs.
The 70-year-old claimed he was, “utterly bereft that this private email to Nigella has come back to haunt us both” and that, “I have never, never seen any evidence of Nigella taking any drug whatsoever.”
The email in question was sent after the Grillo sisters, who have been charged with defrauding Saatchi, claimed Nigella abused cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills on a daily basis.
Saatchi said he was “mortified” to learn his wife may have been using drugs, but vehemently denied suggestions their breakup was over a drug habit. He went on to raise the choking incident of last May said, “I was not gripping strangling or throttling her. I was holding her head by the neck to make her focus, can we be clear? Was it about drug use? No.”
The multi-millionaire went on, “Are you asking me whether I think that Nigella truly was off her head? Not for a second. Over this whole period she was writing books very successfully and appearing on television.”
