Sacha Drake Celebrates Ten Years
Sacha Drake, who recently opened a store on the breezy Queen St strip in Woollahra celebrates an impressive ten years in the fashion and retail industry this year. Not only is Drake still totally independent- still is personally involved in all of her stores across Australia, but she also maintains a personal connection with the women she designs for. This philosophy extends to every boutique, where Sacha ensures that her sales employees not only love the clothes, but also appreciate how to dress different women’s bodies.
Sacha Drake is renowned for her best-selling ‘versatile wear,’ items that have been designed to take you from the school run to the bar- a transformation that we have seen first hand! The Ultimate little black dress can be worn several different ways, and Sacha’s signature wrap dress can be flipped to be worn back-to-front- and looks perfect and effortless either way!
Sacha is also a great authority on dressing for body shapes- designing her pieces for what she considers women’s four key body shapes – coloumn, pear, apple and pregnant. Dion Lee x Mason Mulholland LINE II Collection
For his LINE II Resort collection, Dion Lee has collaborated with artist and model Mason Mulholland– and we are head over heels for it.
Named Aptly titled ‘Neoclassical’, the Resort 13 collection features limited edition print tees as well as classic shirts with the DL signature. The collage art in the image featured was photographed by Bowen Arico, and were created by combining original imagery with classical statues to produce breathtaking and perplexing splices of bodies, fabric and colour. The results feel like modern art that you might very easily find at a Contemporary Art Museum.
The collection plays with dichotomies; real v. fake, draping v. structure, texture v. silhouette. Cutaway silk shirts are combined with structured knitwear and leather pieces. Pretty pastels, dusky pinks and fresh, vibrant pattern are united with utilitarian monochrome and black leather cut razor sharp. Rescu. loves the Grecian draped mid-length skirts with the bias cut front slit in textured leather and feather-light chiffon.
The collection drops in September-November.

Somedays Lovin Spring 2013 Featuring Rachel Rutt
Bohemian street wear label Somedays Lovin have launched their Spring 2013 campaign ‘Marmalade Skies’ featuring ice-cool Australian model Rachel Rutt. Inspired by the Beatles song ‘Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds,’ the campaign channels a trippy, dreamy sensibility
In a dream like landscape of red cliffs and windswept beaches captured by photographer Ben Sullivan, Rutt reclines languidly, draped in acid wash and delicate prints. Referencing a ‘90s reinvention of British psychadelia, the collection features digitally printed sundresses, tropical motifs and saturated brights. Also included are Summer mainstays like denim cut-offs and easy tees. The fine silver jewellery featured is courtesy of rising talent Holly Ryan.
The campaign video was shot at Long Reef in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with Sullivan utilizing experimental techniques to create the over-exposed, bleached out photographic techniques and hazy shots. This one has us packing our bags for a beach-retreat.
