Inspired by Tom Ford’s attraction to the unattainable and fascination with finding the elusive black orchid. ‘To me, it is the perfect flower… luxurious, elegant, pure, sophisticated,’ says Ford. ‘The only problem was it didn’t exist. For centuries, orchid specialists have been searching for a black orchid but it took an expert and very patient grower in California to create the elegant hybrid that is now recognized as the only true black orchid from nature. The moment I saw it I knew it would be the signature for my first women’s fragrance.’
The resulting fragrance is divine, a true reflection of its mysterious namesake. Top notes of Black Truffle and Ylang Ylang mingle with fresh Bergamot and Black Currant to create a dramatic scent like no other. The fragrance is deepened by the addition of intoxicating lotus Wood, florals and Fruit Accords. At the base of Tom Ford Black Orchid notes of patchouli, incense, vetiver and rich, creamy vanilla tears, make this fragrance stand out above its peers.
