While we’re not exactly after the Barbie-girl look at Moschino and perhaps four top-knots as seen at Mac by Marc Jacobs isn’t your cup of tea, but there’s a lot to be said for the hair fluttering down the runways approved by the most prestigious fashion houses in the world.
Take high fashion to the high street with my four most wearable (and DIY do-able) hair looks from Milan, London and New York Spring 2015 along with my top products to nail the look with astute aplomb.
Gucci
How-To: Hair pro Orlando Pita created these low maintenance 60s style ponies by scraping strands back with his hands instead of a brush to amp up the texture. “We’re not trying to make a thick, fake ponytail—we want realness,” he said. “Extensions have been around for more than 10 years now, they’re almost becoming like the Farrah Fawcett hairstyle. All of a sudden everybody wants a clean palette.”
Rescu. Loves: Keep your hair runway ready every day Kerastase Discipline Maskertine that strengthens, softens and replenished so your hair puts up no resistance to styling – hands or otherwise!

Burberry
How-To: The tousled ease at Burberry is a fresh take on the bed-head this spring. Not looking to make the chop? Simply tuck your hair under your colour for Brit-girl cool. Hair stylist Neil Moodie pulled models’ manes into low ponytails. To create the shape, he styled the hair to fall over the ears. He then sprayed the front pieces with a texture spray for a slight bend and a dry, piece-y finish.
Rescu. recommends: Shu Uemura Art Of Hair Texture Wave Dry Working Spray is lightweight and workable spray providing hold and volume for long-lasting texture to create the perfectly imperfect undone locks without being dry or rough to the touch.

Donna Karan
How-To: The twist rope braid at Donna Karan created by hairstylist Eugene Souleiman is a one up on your standard school-girl plait. Great to add character to your office hair turnaround and ideal for would-be day-old hair disasters.
From a low middle-part pony, separate the hair into 4 sections. Hold the first two (1, 2) in your left hand and the other two in your right (3, 4). Cross 2 over 3 then cross 1 behind 3. Bring 2 over, cross 4 under the braid, then cross 1 over and continue down your hair and tie with a hair elastic.
Polish it off with a high-shine hairspray.
Rescu. Recommends: Goldwell Magic Finish – Brilliance Hairspray a superfine high-shine finishing spray. It’s non-sticky, protects your colour and will brush out with your braid.
RRP: $24.95 available form Goldwell salons nationally.
Calvin Klein
How-To: The Japanese-inspired buns by hair maestro Guido Palau is a no-brainer morning time saver. When a blow-dry just doesn’t fit your schedule, simply mist the hair with a hairspray and shine spray before pulling it into a tight high ponytail. Guido then misted the ponytail into a chignon, fastening with small U pins and pulling whispy pieces out as you go.
Rescu. recommends: Keep locks looking super luxe without any buzz-killing frizz. John Frieda Frizz Ease 100% Shine® Glossing Mist Finishing spray has an ultra-light formula and gives hair a highly reflective, glistening finish.
RRP: $16.99 Priceline, Woolworths, Coles, Target, Chemist Warehouse and selected Pharmacies.
