After announcing their engagement earlier this year, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have officially tied the knot in a winter-themed ceremony held at the Bride’s father’s home.
The nuptials were nothing short of extravagance with an elephant being delivered to Lionel Ritchie’s home earlier in the day. Giant tents surrounded the estate and a dance floor was constructed over the swimming pool while a large, outdoor kitchen was set-up for the guests.
Joel Madden’s twin brother and fellow Good Charlotte member Benji was the best man and the a-list group of friends included Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Kris Jenner and Samantha Ronson. Two-year-old Harlow and 14 month old Sparrow, the happy couples children, were the flower girl and pageboy for the glamorous wedding.
According to The Daily Mail, Richie wore a custom-made white Marchessa gown worth over $20, 000 and the pair exchanged rings from celebrity jeweller Neil Lane.
Meanwhile, closer to home, Rescu. HQ has Oprah fever! The inspirational talk-show host has been making her way around the country experiencing all our most beloved traditions and landmarks. The star took her audience across the Sydney Harbour Bridge wearing the compulsory and totally un-glam compulsory BridgeClimb overalls.
Later, Oprah dined at Bondi’s famous Icebergs while fifty of her audience members enjoyed a surfing lesson at the famous beach. In a visit that left all of Australia envious, the star visited long-time fan Liz for a backyard barbeque where she enjoyed tabouleh, chicken kebabs, salads and a can of VB! With the two final episodes set to be filmed tomorrow, there’s still time for more surprises and we’re excitedly anticipating reports from the lucky audience.
