Lloyd Simmonds, Creative Director Makeup Yves Saint Laurent, gives us these expert tips for applying and taking care of our makeup brushes:
– Keep your brushes wrapped in a pouch or cloth to preserve them
– Wash your brushes once weekly in warm water with light shampoo or soap
– Dry in the open air lying flat
– For your eye makeup brushes, use the flat of the brush to apply and the tip to blend
– Lightly tap them on the back of your hand before application
– Avoid pressing, bending and pulling on the brushes
