Beyoncé Drops Fifth Album
It’s not quite Christmas, but on Saturday morning we awoke to one of the best surprises the season could bring. With absolutely no warning, and not even a hint of a rumour, Beyoncé released her fifth album, a “visual album” titled simply ‘Beyoncé’, and sparked a flurry of intense social media activity.
The album, featuring 14 fresh songs and a huge 17 new videos, is arguably one of her best yet and features collaborations with an incredible who’s who of music including her husband Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, and Drake. One of the 30-second video previews also features Bey’s babe Blue Ivy in a sweet dedication.
Our heads are still spinning over how exactly Beyoncé managed to pull this off without anyone having even the slightest suspicion, much less how she was able to bust out all that work while on tour and with a baby. Talk about dedication…
The celebrity world was in awe too, with stars like Katy Perry tweeting, “Don’t talk to me today unless it’s about @Beyonce THANX”, Demi Lovato was clearly too excited to spell check saying, “I’m literally FUH-REAKING OUT over this new #BEYONCE… The music vids?!!?! I CAN’T HANDLE THIS MUCH FIERENESS… #NOJOKE #DYING” and Bey’s younger sister Solange sharing, “I’m sitting here watching THE most artful and perfect project ever… @Beyonce”

Khloe Kardashian Divorce
After months of rumours and speculation, Khloe Kardashian has announced she has filed for divorce from her husband of four year Lamar Odom.
The papers were filed on Friday afternoon (in the US) and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reasoning behind the split.
Over the past few moths, the story of the pair’s break-up has been continuous. In August of this year, Lamar was seen carrying luggage out of the couple’s home together and just days later it was reported that the source of the problems was not the basketball player cheating, as it was originally reported, but in fact a serious drug problem.
Just one week later, Lamar was arrested for a DUI and refused to take a chemical test.
The story escalated in September when TMZ reported Khloe had issued an ultimatum to Lamar — either he goes through rehab or moves out for good. Days later, Lamar was checking in to a treatment centre bvut only lasted one day before checking out and hiring Robert Shapiro, one of the attorneys who served on O.J. Simpson’s legal team and a close friend of the late Robert Kardashian, to represent him.
Since then, the pair have reportedly been living apart and it all came to a head one month ago when TMZ posted a video showing Odom bragging about cheating on Khloe when she’s not around. After that, all bets, and the wedding ring, were off.
Thanks to a watertight prenup, the youngest Kardashian sister is set for a quick divorce, unlike sister Kim whose 72 day marriage took a year and a half to finalise. She is seeking no spousal support, requesting he seek none from her, and asking that Odom be removed from her legal name.
The Most Liked Instagram Photo of 2013
Between Kimye sharing a snap of little North, and everything Beyonce has ever posted we were a little surprised to hear that a picture shared by Justin Bieber was the most liked of 2013.
The news was shared by Instagram’s CEO Kevin Systrom who shared that a picture of Justin Bieber and Will Smith captioned, “Me and Uncle Will” racked up an incredible 1,496,070 likes on the snapshot sharing app.
As for the most popular hashtags, #love came in first with #selfie, #food, #tbt (throw back Thursday) and #friends coming in not to far behind.
Seems that despite the frequent scandals, Bieber still has a fan base that rivals all others…
