INFORMATION FOR ALL THE SIGNS
This is a huge month astrologically as The Planet Of Tedious Hard Work And Facts You Didn’t Want Shoved Up Your Nose – aka Saturn – finally changes signs. For one thing this give a break to Aries and Librans. For another it now supports Cancerians, Virgos, Capricorns and Pisceans. For Scorpios and Taureans, it has to be said, you are in the direct line of Saturn’s fire. More in a minute about why this can be a good thing, despite what you have probably read! And if you’re name isn’t on any of those lists, don’t panic. Sometimes it’s better to go unnoticed by Saturn!
Saturn is the planet who is also known as The Lord of Karma. What we reap, we shall sow. He’s the menacing planet who reminds us to be good unless we want coal in our Christmas stocking. He’s the mean head teacher who raps our knuckles. He’s the planet who grimly reminds us that we don’t have forever.
So as you can imagine, he is not the most fun you can have. He’s reality, hard facts and lessons. He’s also the planet who says “Get real”. It’s thanks to Saturn that we learn our lessons and our lives improve. When he’s tough, he’s very, very tough. And when he’s nice? He’s useful.
Saturn, for example, is the planet who commits. That doesn’t sound very exciting but what is a marriage or a business arrangement or a friendship without a bit of commitment. He’s the planet who helps us to stay strong and to see how hard work can lead to security and stability. Again, that doesn’t sound very exciting and in all truth, Saturn is the least barrel of laughs planet of all.
But Saturn is rock solid and he does keep his promises. He is moving into Scorpio this month which means he’s affecting us all in a very different way to the way he’s been affecting us for the past three years. Here’s how…
SATURN NEWS for your sign…
Wherever Saturn goes, lessons follow. As of now, Saturn is hanging out in your solar 11th house, which is the part of your solar chart which rules friends and the networks you belong to, as well as the part of your chart where you keep your hopes and dreams. This can have various effects. One is that although you know that you need your friends, it’s slightly awkward to reach out to them now. It’s the times that we tend to feel awkward about something when the best lessons are on offer. It is highly possible this year that many of the greatest lessons you get come from your friends, whether you have a large group or just a select few around you. There could be a slight fear that you’re being judged by your friends and while that may or may not be true, if you do as you say, and live up to your responsibilities, your report card can only be glowing, no? One of the great things about a true friend is that he or she can tell you the truth and you both know this is not about egos but about forging stronger bonds. Friends can push buttons, especially if you are single and your social group forms most of the company you keep. They help us grow in the areas we need to and this year that goes double for you
Many of you will want to go it alone this year, and that’s not a bad thing, as long as you don’t isolate yourself and get lonely. Try not to judge others too harshly this year and remember that just because a friend transgresses what you think is right, doesn’t mean the entire friendship has to come to a grinding halt. One of your biggest Saturn lessons now is about reaching out and dropping your barriers with people you know you can trust. Adopt ‘forgiveness’ as one of your keywords for friendship in this Saturn cycle, and don’t let fear stop you from forming new friendships if they waft past you. They could help you build very firm foundations for the future and could turn out to be the relationships that last and last.
MEANWHILE SEXY MARS IS CHANGING SIGNS, MOVING INTO SADGE… Here’s what you can expect, as of October 7.
The good news is that for the next few weeks, it’s going to be easier than ever to keep your cool. Having the planet of anger – Mars – buried in your 12th house (as you do right now) means it can actually be annoyingly difficult to confront others. You can’t find your Attack! button so easily. During this phase, you may find yourself feeling increasingly wound-up, especially if your woes are compounded by a feeling that you get no credit for all the hard work you do. Try not to become too resentful. This too shall pass! Best course of action? Yoga, tai chi or chi gung. Seriously.
FINALLY, A MYSTICAL MESSAGE FOR YOU – I drew a Goddess Card for each sign. If you’re reading this, you need this message! Your message is: “Your household situation is improving either through a move or a healthy change for in the occupants.”
