So here we go into the New Year! What can we expect?
Let’s start off with some general information for all the Star signs…
The good news is that pretty much no matter what your Star sign, 2016 going to be a whole lot easier than 2012-2015 was.
That’s because those years brought us those terribly pressurising and some would say downright dreadful Uranus/Pluto clashes. And they are now officially over for eons.
Especially affected were Aries, Cancers, Librans and Capricorns (or if you have one of those signs rising…)
WHAT DOES THIS YEAR PROMISE?
2016 will be less about being pushed into a corner by the Universe so that have to take action, and more about making positive life changes.
Arguably the loveliest of the astro-links ahead this year will taking place between Jupiter (positivity) and Pluto (change). So yes, we are onto a much better thing.
Positive change is in the air. That means if you want to do something different, it’s not going to be such a struggle!
Here is a quick rundown re where you can expect change to flow more easily. Read your sign or your Rising sign if you know it!
Aries – changes can flow at work
Taurus – study and/or travel will be life-changing
Gemini – overall positive changes can flow re sex and money
Cancer – your love life can be transformed in a good way
Leo – overall positive changes can flow at when it comes to your daily life
Virgo – overall positive changes will be connected to romance, creativity and kids (your own or someone else’s)
Libra – overall positive changes can flow at home and re family
Scorpio – you will realise that you are creating your life with your thoughts!
Sagittarius – overall positive changes are the expected financially
Capricorn – your whole life is ripe for positive changes in 2016!
Aquarius – blast through your fears and your life will be even more amazing
Pisces – your friendships are going to be even more powerful this year
So will 2016 be 100% smooth sailing? Of course not! However there will be less of a crushing imperative that feels like do or die… and that has to be a good thing!
What’s really a stand out this year is that a lot of the big, outer, slow-moving planets are connecting in way that will allow us mere mortals here on earth to stride towards our goals.
STAND OUT DATES
Every year brings some super peak dates of the year which affect us all no matter what our star signs. These are the dates for 2016 and very much worth noting in your diary!

* These two dates are quite mysterious as they suggest very positive change and yet many of us reading this will be taking a day off and relaxing with family and/or friends. So what can it mean? My best bet is that these dates augur very well for better family relations OR for projects you’ve worked hard on throughout the year somehow paying off during the holiday season. LOOKING AT THE MAJOR TRENDS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD…
When we look at the major trends for the year ahead, the first thing is to see what lucky Jupiter is up to.
This is the planet that helps make life easier. And this year, the lucky planet is in Virgo for most of the year (until September).
As a Virgo – how lucky will you be this year?
Jupiter is moving through your First House – this is one of the luckiest transits of all. Jupiter is the planet of Good Fortune and to have him moving through this part of your chart will instantly boost your cheeriness which in turn boosts your popularity. You and your extra optimistic view of the world is going to be more in demand than you have been in years. You’re like the Star of the Show. It’s your turn to shine. Give them some old razzle dazzle. Seriously!
In fact, not seriously at all! Jupiter is about having a good time, which is something you’re going to be doing more of over the next 9 months. He’s like a lucky charm – he’s celestial wind beneath your wings. Whatsoever you want, you have an invisible benefactor trying to help you make it happen.
What you need to be careful of as you embrace Jupiter and all that he has to offer is that you don’t get lulled into a Jupiter stupor and start to just assume that everything is going to be allright with no effort on your behalf. This is the Major Jupiter Trap. Everything still requires effort though you really can expect all parts of your life to flow more easily over the next year. But Jupiter helps those who help themselves.
Also watch you if you start to act arrogantly – another Easy Jupiter Trap which will negate some of the Popularly Brownie Points you’ve been handed. Finally Jupiter is the travel agent of the zodiac so if you want to get away anytime soon, you have excellent stars for it.
HOW HARD WILL YOU HAVE TO WORK?
Of course taskmaster Saturn is still out there and circling the zodiac so there are still lessons to be learned by all of us.
Knowing where Saturn will be for you throughout 2016 is actually really, really worthwhile!
Saturn is the planet that makes us work hard but he is also the planet that helps us to make our dreams real.
For you as a Virgo…
No matter how old you are, no matter how long you’ve been living away from home, or whether you’re a grandchild or you have grandchildren or both, one of the major issues for you with Saturn’s arrival in your fourth house is independence. And while you’re working on that aspect of your life, see also, inner stability. These are the major life lessons on offer to you from the Cosmos now. Accept them gracefully and you will prosper.
You are being given a big opportunity to take a deep breath and look inwards. It’s time to think about your roots and where you come from, as well as where you belong.
For some of you, reminders from the past will come creeping out of the woodwork and some childhood fears will be addressed. OK, as you sit here reading this, that might sound a little scary. But why do you think that people around the world pay psychiatrists and the like to listen while they talk about their childhood? There’s a simple reason—because it can unlock fears.
If you can see where your fears come from you will be better equipped to deal with them. We all have stuff that we base our emotions on. What happened to you as a child that holds you back now? Saturn’s move through your fourth house gives you a chance to rebuild ‘broken emotions’.

You have a chance to make your dreams come true where family is concerned now but the energies you are working with are demanding and won’t give you much for free.
