Jennifer Lawrence has scored a place on TIME’s most influential people list while Gwyneth Paltrow has placed first on a list of a different nature entirely. Meanwhile Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel, Carey Mulligan, Kate Hudson, and more have gathered for a prestigious Tiffany’s event.

TIME magazine’s coveted list of the world’s most influential people list has been released and, as always, there are a quite a few celebs who make the cut among the politicians, religious figures, CEOs, and other influencers.
All the usual suspects are there – Beyoncé, Jay-Z – but also a few first timers including Jennifer Lawrence, who also scored a cover. Pretty incredible stuff considering she’s just 22 and none of us had even heard of her two years ago!
The Oscar winning starlet won fans over this year both with her performances and her personality which shone during the award circuit. Jodie Foster sums it up perfectly in the essay which accompanies the Hunger Games star’s listing, saying, “You’ll remember where you were when you first felt it, how you were stuck to one spot like a small animal considering its end. The Jennifer Lawrence State. It cuts a searing swath in your gut. A reckoning. I remember going to the cutting rooms of Winter’s Bone. I thought, ‘Sure, this girl can act. But, man, this girl can also just be.’”
You got that right! We’re big fans of J-Law and we hope this winning streak is a never-ending one for the star.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow has taken out the top spot on an entirely different list and we doubt she’s exactly thrilled about it…
We know her Goop musings have been a little off-kilter and pretentious sometimes, and she does seem to live in her own world, but we have to say, we were surprised to hear Paltrow was Star magazine’s most annoying celebrity.
The list of twenty also includes Kristen Stewart, who just can’t seem to break out of the bad books since the cheating scandal erupted, Jennifer Lopez, John Mayer, and Katherine Heigl, follow the Iron Man star.
Other annoying personas who get a mention include Madonna, Justin Bieber, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Anne Hathaway, Chris Brown (at number 20 – surely he should take first place?) and Taylor Swift.
Which celebrity annoys you the most?
It was 50 Shades of Blue at the Rockefeller Center in New York City last night as Tiffany & Co welcomed the stars to their Blue Book Ball.
The event drew an impressive guest list including Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel, Kate Hudson, and Carey Mulligan. All the leading ladies were dressed to the nines with floor-scraping frocks in various shades of blue proving popular.
One of our favourites was Kate Hudson’s strapless mint blue Reem Acra dress that showed off her glowing tan. We love the old-Hollywood waves too!
And while some might think Gwyneth annoying, there’s no denying the girl’s got style. Her shoulder-baring, silky dusty blue gown was a perfect choice for the evening.
Michelle Williams showed off her edgy new hairstyle but played it a little on the safe side in a navy gown.
The glam affair was all in honour of the jeweller giant’s Art-deco inspired Blue Book collection which they unveiled on Pinterest today. Check it out here.
