Are Miranda Kerr and James Packer dating? Rumours are flying that model and media and casino magnate have been in the midst of a secret romance for several months now.
The Daily Telegraph were the first to break the story reporting that the pair, who both hail from Gunnedah in NSW, are an item and have been secretly seeing one another on trips abroad since September this year. Now Sydney Morning Herald have backed those claims and announced that the story will be front-page on Woman’s Day magazine, a publication that was once owned by the Packer family, tomorrow. It is said that the mag’s editor Fiona Connolly is, “standing behind the story 100 per cent”.
Packer, 46, split with former model Erica, the mother of his three children and wife of six years, just three months ago, and Miranda, 30, announced her split with husband of three years Orlando Bloom in at the end of October. Given this, it’s little surprise the pair would want to keep their romance hush-hush and we won’t be surprised if they continue to keep mum or vehemently deny it when Women’s Day hits newsstands tomorrow.
While the pair might at first seem like an odd couple, they have been linked for years with Packer having reportedly once provided business advice to the Victoria’s Secret beauty when she launched Kora. Plus, it was just last year that the Packers and Kerr-Bloom families holidayed together in Tahiti, and more recently, since their respective splits, the pair are said to have been mixing in the same circles in Los Angeles.
For now, it’s all hearsay but tomorrow’s Women’s Weekly is said to contain confirmation from various sources. We’ll be keeping a keen eye on this story and eagerly awaiting a comment from either Packer or Kerr’s representatives… stay tuned!
