Our darling Miranda Kerr, what an Angel…
A Victoria Secret Angel that is also, wife, mother, entrepreneur and all round, down to earth Aussie girl, what is there not to love?’
When it comes to Miranda’s Beauty look, we recognize it so well as there is a signature trend she sports – fresh faced, bronzed eye with a stain of colour on the lip, it really is that simple, but knowing when to amp it up or not is key for this Aussie Beauty…
Having met Miranda a few times over the years through her Australian visits for David Jones, I know how easy going she really is and it shows in her beauty look – effortless, not too much fuss, but enough to create warmth and keeping her features rather than changing too much of her natural structure.
While some Celebrities are for ever trying to change their look, Miranda will 90% of the time go with very similar tones and shape on the eyes and maybe altar the lip colour depending on the event or work she is doing.
Very rarely does Miranda go for an edgy dark smokey eye, nude lip look, but when she does – she rocks it… Surprise Surprise!
From working backstage with Miranda, she knows what she likes in beauty and I love that! It makes it so much easier for a Makeup Artist to know what you are applying or colours used will be loved by your client and she is not afraid to give her expert opinion on her look – who knows your face better than you right?
A good Makeup Artists should always be able to suit a loo to everyone’s needs, skin tone and type and think about the long wear factor that the client will need and often for Miranda, it needs to last!!
MB PRO TIP : Don’t think you always have to change it up with makeup…
If you love certain shades or a look that you know works for you well, then stick to it and own it – most celebrities do, maybe not if you are a pop singer!
Alter the lip shade slightly or heavy up the shades on the eyes every now and then, but own your look and rock it out.
Whether Miranda wears her hair up or down, we still see a similar trend with her makeup look.
Don’t get me wrong, I love changing up someone’s look and trying out new shades and designs, but when something works so well, it’s hard to change.
I love that in most cases with Miranda’s look, the lip will alter from a soft watermelon pink, into a cherry red, or even a red wine shade depending on the outfit and the occasion, but keeping the soft rose glow with bronzed/neutral eyes as a trademark – so fresh and feminine, yet a classic feel to it.
Miranda keeps to her soft facial curves with no harsh or very dark shades, still showing contouring but always in fresh tones.
With her glowing skin thanks to Kora Organics, Miranda’s very own line of Skincare, it shows that good skin and taking the time to care for your ski is key to always rocking a flawless makeup look.
I am in love with barely there skin right now, talking foundation of course and BB creams are the way to go for this trend with a touch of concealer on the problem areas.
My new fave BB Cream is from Bobbi Brown (RRP $60), love the light, melt into your skin, texture and the SPF protection.
BB creams have that little more goodness in your skin than a tinted moisturizer and still can be layered on problem areas, but look great all day with a fresh approach.
Miranda also loves a soft pop of colour on her cheeks and what better product to replicate her signature cheek than a light dust on the apples with M.A.C Temperature Rising Blush in Hoy Nights (RRP $43)
Such a great shade to amp up your look or if you are feeling a little flat, she wears colour on her cheeks so well as it is always on the apples, not striping up too far to the hairline.
A bronzed base eye is Miranda’s standard – sometimes a little lighter with a touch of gold, sometimes more of a copper influence, either way she rocks the neutrals and can add a pop of coour to the centre of her eyelid when needed, or just smudge an eyeliner at the lash line for a slightly more sultry look.
In most cases, Miranda opts for less liner, more shading on the socket and big lashes – love!
My new kit fave is the M.A.C Temperature Rising Quad, Bare My Soul (RRp$72)
Love all the neutrals or even just one as a wash of colour or highlight. Use the green shade either on lower lash line to jazz it up or in the centre of mobile eyelid for a little fun.
Lastly is Miranda’s lip!
She can wear a lip very well in all shades of red, pink and wine!
If ever in doubt what to do with the rest of your face, try a bold lip as it always gives colour and livens up a sometimes-dull complexion that we can have.
It also dresses up a look if you have come straight from work for example.
Try a lip from ck one, great shades to suit any complexion, but I am loving the newest edition to their range, the ck one pure shine lipstick (RRP $35) – love the sheer, moisturing texture, great for a bold lip without the full on intensity and no dry lips!!
So think Miranda when choosing colour’s for makeup, fresh faced, warm tones, adding pops of colour with a softness in mind.
We all love her signature look and using the shades and products above can create many different effects on different skin tones as well as Miranda’s signature face.
Sometimes though you just need to sex it up and on my final note, I will leave you with an image of Miranda giving it sultry!
LOVE – Enjoy!
