It’s safe to say that no team was kicked off in last nights challenge, however the judges were less than impressed by the final four teams dishes.
In last night’s challenge, the teams went rodeo style in a Texas inspired cook off.

Father and son duo Tarq and Mike and Carmine and Lauren were delegated mains, while Eve and Jason and Chris and Cookie were placed on dessert.
Judge Pete was underwhelmed by Tarq and Mike’s duck breast with curry sauce, saying, “You were heavy handed with the lime juice, a very acidic curry sauce”

Carmine and Lauren whipped up a main of quail with a mushroom and thyme broth; of which Pete found the overall dish inconsistent, saying “some of the legs [to be] a little bit under, [and] some a little over.” However finished on a positive note by stating, “I have to say, your broth was beautiful”
On the dessert side, Eve and Jason played it safe with their choice of crepes with picked orange and candied walnuts. Considering the simplicity of the dish, Pete was unimpressed by the outcome after 90 minutes of preparation time allotted for the challenge.Image credit: News
The final team, Chris and Cookie, surprised both the judges and returning contestants with their dessert choice of a dessert taco. The combination of savory and sweet left Pete underwhelmed and with the opinion that “[they] tried too hard with this dish”
The end of the night resulted in Mike and Tarq going into the sudden death round against Eve and Jason in tonight’s episode.
