Two new snippets from The Great Gatsby have been revealed, Selena Gomez is very publically cutting all ties with Justin Bieber, and Nicole Kidman has some surprising casting news.

As we inch closer to the reveal of The Great Gatsby at Cannes Film Festival, more and more teasers are being revealed to test our patience.
Today we scored big time with almost three minutes worth of sumptuous, spectacular imagery from the film, a preview of the anticipated soundtrack including the Amy Winehouse cover by Beyonce, and a full track list for the album.
The glittering trailer gives us more than just a taste for the story, as TIME Magazine put it, “If you’re paying attention, it gives away the entire plot (except the conclusion) of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel.”
Those who have read the book will know this is not a huge surprise – as wonderful as it is, it’s not the most convoluted of stories! In saying that, we doubt anyone is going to see this one for the story alone – it’s a visual feast that we’re practically drooling for.
And it turns out the 14-track album is just as exciting as the film itself.
Along with the Beyoncé and André 3000 remake of Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, it features artists such as will.i.amm Fergie, Lana Del Rey, Florence and the Machine, The xx, and Aussies Gotye and Sia.
Selena Gomez is stopping at nothing to make sure she is distanced from ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. And we have to say, we don’t blame her for backing off. In the past week alone, Bieber made headlines for illegally tattooing a mate and for a scandal with his monkey (no, really). These stories plus a few recent social media rants have him coming scarily close to Britney-Spears-circa-2007 on the crazy scale.
The first jab was made on David Letterman a couple of weeks ago, the star made a joke about having made the ‘Boyfriend’ singer cry, sending Bieber’s loyal band of Beilibers into Twitter fury.
More recently, Selena has taken things a step further by demanding all footage of her be removed from Justin Bieber’s forthcoming documentary, a sequel to the hugely popular Never Say Never.
An insider Hollywood Life that Selena “texted Justin, flipping out” after she heard she was featured in the film and, “made it clear that she does not want to be in the movie, DVD extras, or anything at all.” The insider went on to say that Justin, “bugs the s**t out of [Selena] and the only reason she picks up her phone is because it’s easier than dealing with harassment.” Ouch!
This report comes off the back of the news that Harry Styles is cutting Taylor Swift from the One Direction documentary… it seems cutting exes from documentaries is the Hollywood version of deleting them from Facebook!
‘Nicole Kidman’ and ‘hilarious’ don’t usually fall into the same sentence but this latest casting decision says all that might change soon.
The Aussie actress is set to join comedy stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, and Paul Rudd in the highly anticipated Anchorman: The Legend Continues.
We’re not sure about this decision, as much as we love her, we just can’t quite imagine Kidman bringing Anchorman-levels of funny to our screens.
There’s no word yet on the details of her role in the film. Perhaps we’ll have to wait to hit cinemas in December.
