Olivia Palermo has married Johannes Heubl in an intimate garden ceremony in Bedford, New York.
Just a week after their alleged “secret wedding”, the private couple said ‘I do’ in front of a only handful of family and two close friends.
Known for her ability to master effortless New York chic, Palermo’s ensemble was no exception to her famous style with the bride wearing three pieces by Carolina Herrera and – something blue – a pair of Manolo Blahniks.
Surrounded by ivy and bouquets of flowers, the former reality star wore a cashmere and ostrich-feather sweater teamed with crisp white shorts and a full tulle skirt overlay cinched at the waist. The always-dapper Heubl, a model, joined his bride in a white bespoke Marc Anthony Hamburg suit.
Sharing the details on her website oliviapalermo.com, Palermo said, “We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends. Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside.”
Olivia, 28, wore her hair in a simple ponytail, a personal favourite, whilst opting for dewy, natural makeup. “I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean,” she said.
Just a week ago the pair were reported to have had a ‘secret, quickie wedding’. Denying the rumours, Palermo’s spokesperson Barbara Saint-Aime said, “They had always planned to have a small civil wedding in June. The whole visa thing is not relevant. They travel so much during the summer, they really don’t have much time to plan things.”
Olivia and Johannes who have been together since 2008 got engaged in December of last year. The pair were spotted heading to the City Clerk Marriage Bureau to obtain their marriage license last week.
