Prime time
To keep your makeup looking all day (and night) you need to start with a good base.
Rescu. Expert tip: Gucci Westman, Global Artistic Director for Revlon says “Primer should always be a step after your moisturizer. I like to apply it with my fingers or a damp sponge. I like to start by dabbing it on my cheeks.” Allow a minute for your primer to set before applying your base for an even longer lasting finish.
Rescu. recommends: Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, RRP $29.95, or for a multi-tasking product try the Revlon PhotoReady Color Correcting Primer, RRP $29.95, which has a lightweight, lilac-tinted formula with colour correcting pigments to neutralise redness, brighten dull skin and minimise discolourations.
Radiant skin
Get your glow on with these foundations that give you a luminous finish. You’ll be ready for your close up with these paparazzi perfect formulas.
Rescu. tip: If you’re having trouble choosing the right foundation colour, pick a colour close to the skin on your décolletage. You’ll have a more natural colour match and don’t forget to blend, blend, blend.
Rescu. recommends: The new Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup, RRP $34.95, has a light, airy texture that blends evenly and provides breathable coverage. Their PhotoReady range contains photochromatic pigments that bend and reflect light, so that your make-up will minimise flaws in any setting. For a velvety finish try Napoleon Perdis Camera Finish Powder Foundation, RRP $65. This gorgeous compact is ideal for touch-ups, and works in three ways to conceal, mattify and set, to create the perfect canvas.
Contour your cheekbones
The camera flash can be harsh, so add in some warmth and contour with these new cheek products.
Rescu. Expert tip: Gucci calls the Revlon PhotoReady Sculpting Blush Palette “a must have because you have your highlighter and your blush all in one, so you sculpt the perfect face easily. You can have a peachy finish or a pinky finish, it is up to you.”
Rescu. recommends: For a soft cheek glow try the new Clarins Instant Light Blush Illuminating Cheek Colour. This liquid blush creates an instant, natural-looking healthy glow.
Enhance your eyes
Lengthen and enhance your lashes with a nourishing mascara. Choose eye shadows that complement your eyes without overpowering for a classic look.
Rescu. recommends: Rimmel London Scandal’Eyes Mascara, RRP $16.95, for exaggerated lashes that won’t clump. For perfectly coordinated eyes try Almay Intense i-Color™ Dual End Shadow Stick, RRP $20.95. Available in four shades designed to enhance each eye colour, just pick from Brown, Hazel, Green and Blue for colour matched eye shadow that lasts without fading or creasing.
Rescu. tip: The most perfect pictures are taken when you relax. You know your makeup will last all night so have fun and smile!
