Prince (Prince Rogers Nelson), the singer, songwriter and music icon has died at the age of 57.
The creative genius behind “Kiss” and “Purple Rain” was found unresponsive Thursday morning at his resident in Paisley Park Residence in Minnesota according to his publicist.
Born in 1958, the musical and lyrical talent recorded over 30 albums during his lifetime.

The musical prodigy, renowned for his rock classics including “Let’s Go Crazy” and “Raspberry Beret”, was multitalented; from writing music for several artists, winning an Oscar for the score of Purple Rain to being added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
US President, Obama, paid tribute to the music icon earlier this morning, calling Prince “one of the most gifted musicians of our time.” He further stated, “He was a virtuoso instrumentalist, a brilliant bandleader and electrifying performer.”
The legendary musician’s death has sparked a cascade of grief across social media.
