Princess Diana Movie Trailer Revealed
The question of which star was worthy of playing the iconic Princess Diana was always going to be a much-talked-about one but when it was revealed Naomi Watts would be taking the role, the reaction was almost entirely positive.
Despite this, you can never truly predict whether a star will embody a famous figure successfully until we see them in action. When the first pictures were released, hopes were high that Watts would fill the shoes of Diana and now we have a short teaser that leaves us convinced Watts is the woman for the job.
The teaser has no dialogue and reveals very little of the story but we know the movie is set to follow Diana’s life from 1995 to her tragic death in 1997, focusing on her relationship with Dr. Hasnat Khan and her humanitarian work amongst other things.
What do you think of Watts as Princess Diana?
Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme
Robert Pattinson, who has been attracting attention for his outings with Katy Perry this week, has just been announced as the new face of Dior Homme fragrance.
Robert Pattinson, who has been attracting attention for his outings with Katy Perry this week, has just been announced as the new face of Dior Homme fragrance.
Rumours about this campaign have been swirling for some time now and finally they have been confirmed. A statement from the fashion house read, “The House of Dior is delighted to announce that actor Robert Pattinson is to be the new face of Dior Homme fragrance. Since his first notable role in 2005 in the fourth Harry Potter sequel, film star Robert Pattinson has more recently come to be known through his role in the runway box office success, the Twilight saga.”
We’re looking forward to hearing (and seeing) more about Robert’s place in the Dior family.
CLEO Bachelor of the Year
Last night at The Beresford in Surry Hills, Bondi Rescue’s Trent Maxwell had a shock win, taking out the CLEO Bachelor of the Year for 2013.
The Bondi lifeguard was a bit of a wildcard with everyone, including CLEO editor Sharri Markson, expecting The Voice host Darren McMullen to take the crown. Markson said, “This year the CLEO Bachelor is a guy who literally saves lives every day. Maxi is the typical Aussie bloke. He loves surfing, he’s sweet and he’s down to earth. He didn’t even register as a favourite on Sportsbet – but he was obviously the CLEO readers favourite.”
The 21-year-old was shocked he’d even made it to the top 50, saying, “I didn’t believe it. I thought it was a gee up. It’s very overwhelming.”
Second place went to another wild card, Matthew Witcowski, who works as a biologist researching childhood leukaemia and third place went to The Voice’s McMullen.
Nice to see sometimes nice guys do finish first!
