Ruby Rose Demi Lovato Fling
In the midst of a Twitter scandal, Ruby Rose has claimed to have had an affair with Demi Lovato, and the rumour mill has been in overdrive ever since.
It all started when the Australian DJ declared took to Twitter to announce she was taking a break from social media, saying, “Think ill take a few days off social media whilst @ddlovato’s friends attack me for being a ‘scorned ex-lover’ get over it!! I liked the hair.” The tweet has since been deleted.
Like most self-imposed social media bans, it didn’t last long at all, and Ruby was quickly over to Instagram where she posted a caption that claimed, “I’m like the one person demi has slept with that didn’t seel on naked photos of her so eff off.” This was in reference to the recent scandal in which a female ex was shopping around photos of Demi, or so the story goes.
Soon after, Ruby must have calmed down, when she deleted the tweets and comments, then left her followers with three tweets — none of which retracted the claim she slept with Lovato…
She said, “Listen, im in no way shocked or offended by the shade im getting from people who have simply cropped my reply to what actually started this,” she wrote. “However I in no way initiated this, nor did I say something that wasnt already written in the ridiculous post. One sided replies dont cut it.”
She concluded “However, love and peace to everyone. It is what is it. Remember it doesn’t really matter what people think. Its what you know that counts.”
The timing of all of this is certainly interesting (and perhaps a little suspicious) given that Lovato is currently playing the lesbian love interest of Santana on Glee in the US.
Demi’s camp are yet to comment.
Scarlett Johansson Named Sexiest Woman Alive
It’s been seven years since Scarlett Johansson was named Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive, but it seems she’s as sexy as ever in the eyes of the folk at the popular US men’s mag who have granted her the superficial title for the second time.
The title marks the second-ever first-ever for Scarlett and the mag — when she was awarded the title in 2006 she was the youngest winner ever at just 21, and this time she is the first woman to have secured the title twice.
Although the mag doesn’t hit newsstands in the US until next week, much of the sexy photoshoot has been shared online, along with snippets from the interview in which Scarlett jokes that she’s , “gotta hustle” and that, “pretty soon the roles you’re offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop.”
It’s all coming up for Scarlett; the starlet recently went public with her engagement to former French journalist Romain Dauriac, and she’s had a busy year with a Broadway season of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, and roles in Don Jon and Under the Skin.
Here’s to an even bigger 2014!
The Stars Who Turned Down Gravity Lead Roles
Over the weekend, the Sandra Bullock and George Clooney drama we’ve all been not-so patiently waiting for (it’s been four and a half years in the making) Gravity, flew to the top of the US box office, breaking industry records with its incredible opening weekend success.
The adventure story, which has been widely pinned as an Academy Award front-runner, debuted with a huge $US55.55 million in North American ticket sales alone, making it the biggest October opening of all time and the biggest opening for both Bullock and Clooney.
In Australia, the film’s success has been just as prevalent — it clocked up $3.5 million at the box office on opening weekend.
A huge part of the rave reviews comes down to Bullock and Clooney’s performances and the notable chemistry between them, but it could have easily been a very different story…
Variety have revealed that the Robert Downey Jr and Angelina Jolie were originally cast as the male and female lead in the film but Jolie was forced to pull out after her management failed to work out a deal with Warner Bros, and Robert Downey Jr had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts.
The producers then considered both Blake Lively and Natalie Portman before settling on Sandra Bullock, and managed to score Clooney for the role straight after.
We’ll never know whether the movie would have been such an incredible success were the leads different, but we doubt at this multi-million dollar stage any of the producers care!
