Get ready to fill up your beauty bags ladies, Sephora is coming to Australia! The global cosmetics juggernaut is the world’s largest beauty retailer and has set its sights on Australian shores and will be opening a store in Pitt St Mall in Sydney before Christmas.
Sephora has lined up an 800sq metre store in Pitt St Mall, and promises to be an exciting addition to the Australian beauty market. Whilst there might be plans to partner with department stores such as Myer and David Jones down the line, at this stage Sephora will be focussing on stand alone stores.
Sephora is a destination for beauty-conscious consumers internationally, and will now offer Australians access to exclusive brands including Marc Jacobs Beauty, Kat Von D. Formula X, Andre Fullerton, MAKE UP FOR EVER and more brands which have previously been unavailable on Aussie shores.
‘Sephora’s vision for Australia is to be an absolute beauty authority, promoting a new shopping experience with an unparalleled range of products and a high standard of service,’ said Ravi Thakran, Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton luxury goods group president for Asia and the Middle East.
‘We hope to make Sephora Australia a destination where clients can learn the latest beauty trends and tips to further compliment their savvy lifestyles.’
Australian beauty options are growing more and more diverse and competitive, allowing local consumers to have wider access to the world’s most beloved beauty brands. Estee Lauder have recently launched a collection of new stores in Mosman, including the first Bobbi Brown free standing store in Australia, which opened on April 30th. The launch also included new MAC and Jo Malone stores in Mosman, another indication of Sydney’s growing access to diverse and internationally popular beauty brands.
