Revlon CustomEyes Shadow & Liner
If you only buy one new beauty product this season, this versatile wonder palette should be it! For girls who don’t like the ‘heavy’ look, the built in powder liner on this already, jam-packed colour palette is a great alternative to liquid or pencil liner. The added bonus? 5 gorgeous shadow colours in a range of matte and satin formulas, to create a popping, colourful addition to any look!
Rescu. tip: A dual ended applicator allows you to choose between a wet or dry finish. If you’re feeling a little daring apply wet, for a more defined and dramatic effect.

MAC Wonder Woman Eyeliner
Part of M.A.C’s new Wonder Woman Colour Collection that we just can’t get enough of, this texta style eyeliner (technically Penultimate) makes mastering big, bold eyes easier than ever before. The thicker tip means mistakes are few and far between, creating even, dark lines. And unlike real texta, the liner is easily removed with a little makeup remover.
Rescu. tip: To create smoky eyes, a la Taylor Momsen, pair a black shadow and blend to the most outer edge of your eye.
Available from maccosmetics.com.au ($36)
Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner
This luxurious cream liner from Clinique is perfect for deep or smoky long wear, for that very special occasion. Application will vary depending on your desired look! For dark, strong definition, apply from the inner to outer corner of the eye and leave to set. For a lighter more opaque finish, smudge while still wet and enjoy gorgeous look-at-me eyes.
Expert Tip: It isn’t realistic in our busy lives to clean make up brushes after every use, but they should be cleaned on a monthly basis at very least for hygiene reasons and cleanliness. Clinique Make Up Brush Cleanser ($34) removes all make up residue and build up without damaging the brush’s hair and bristles.
Available from David Jones, Myer, Selected pharmacies and clinique.com ($37)
Step-By-Step Expert Eyeliner Guide With M.A.C’s Nicole Thompson
Get the look in 5 easy steps…
Step 1
Draw a thin black line along the top of the lash line stopping at the corner of the eye.
Step 2
Starting from the outer corner of the eye (where you last line stopped) draw a 45 degree angled line upwards and outwards.
Step 3
With the eyes wide open, carefully join the two lines together. The Line can go across creases and wrinkles, its all about what the shape looks like with the eyes wide open.
Step 4
Close your eye and join up the lines. It will have a slight lightening bolt shape. You may need to go over the whole line again with more product to darken the colour.
Step 5
Depending on the thickness of the liner, fill in the liner shape to make it really black! Use cotton tips soaked in make up remover to clean up and rough edges and finish with mascara.
