With the festive season coming up, you’ll be sure to have lots lined up in the coming weeks. Bobbi Brown shares what key products and tips for refreshing make up and adding enough polish to take an end of day office look, to fresh and fabulous for cocktails.
To easily take your look from day to night, I recommend using a foundation stick to even out any red spots or uneven skin tone. Rather than re-applying a whole new layer of foundation, a touch-up stick provides coverage only where you need it. But don’t forget to about concealer – it’s a must for instantly refreshing any look.

Also, a smokey eye is a great way to transform a casual day look into a flattering evening look. Using an eye sweep brush, apply a light shade of eye shadow all over the lid, from the lash line to the brow bone. Then apply a slightly darker shadow on the lower lid, from the lash line to the crease and layer a darker shade of the same color directly over it, making sure to smudge and blend. Finish by lining the eye with our Long Wear Gel Eyeliner and apply two or three coats of mascara onto the lashes.
If you prefer to play up your lips, apply lipstick in a shade one to two deeper than your daytime color. Or, apply a shimmery gloss over your regular lipstick. Just remember that the most flattering and modern way to wear color is on one part of your face.
If you’re heading somewhere really special say a cocktail party or event black tie, I say it’s all about black Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner and layering different mascara formulas (it’s a quick and easy way to get the look of false lashes). Blackest black mascara makes eyes pop. Many black types of mascara actually have a grayish tint to them and this does nothing to enhance your lashes. Two to three coats (sometimes even four) of really black mascara always do the trick. Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara is perfect for this.
