Blake Lively Burnt A Hole In Her Wedding Dress
It was one of the most-hidden weddings of last year, with barely a peep shown of the gown, the location or the ceremony.
But Blake Lively has revealed that her nuptials to Ryan Reynolds had a very unfashionable downside.
And it can serve as a warning to any bride who wants to have flames at her wedding.
There is, Lively revealed to US Vogue, a hole in her wedding gown – which was custom made by Marchesa for the Martha Stewart-organised shebang – from an errant sparkler.
The culprit? An over-excited guest during a set by Florence Welch, who is one of Lively’s best mates.
“Florence Welch was singing at the reception, and they brought out these sparklers,” she said. “And I’m watching her sing – I look down and my wedding dress has a big burn mark from one of the sparklers. Right on the front!”
She called it “so heartbreaking” – but dropped some advice for similarly ‘ruined’ bridal gown owners.
“Later my dress was hanging up and Ryan said, ‘Isn’t that beautiful?’ and he pointed to the burn… And he said, ‘You’ll always remember that moment with Florence singing and the sparklers. You have that forever, right there, preserved.’ Now that’s my favourite part of the dress.”
Wise words, we think – and nice to know that even stars in custom-made couture can have wedding day disasters.

Lanvin’s Latest Campaign Stars Edie Campbell’s Whole Family
British model Edie Campbell has done things the family way: her latest campaign for Lanvin doesn’t just star her, it stars her entire extended family, her boyfriend, even her horse.
Yes, you read that right: all the Campbells, even the equine ones, are part of Lanvin’s print campaign this autumn.
So who’s on show for Lanvin’s sweeping, elegant collection?
The ladies include grandmother Joan, sister Olympia and mother Sophie, while her dad and brother also put in an appearance.
And Edie’s boyfriend Otis Ferry, son of rocker Bryan, stars alongside her sister Olympia’s partner, a punk called Matteo.
All eyes, however, are on the horse Dolly – rightly so.
The reason for the family affair? Lanvin’s logo is of a mother and daughter holding hands, inspired by a photograph of the founder, Jeanne Lanvin, holding her young daughter’s hands at a costume ball in 1907.
So mother-daughter affection is in the label’s veins. What do you think of Lanvin’s Campbell-fest?

What We Want For Christmas: Louis Vuitton’s ‘Fashion Photography’ Book
Louis Vuitton is releasing an exclusive coffee table book devoted to high-end photography – of all things LV, of course.
It will span the brand’s history, which is one of the oldest in fashion: it was founded as a luggage company in the 1800s, and has expanded to be one of the biggest luxury clothing houses in the world.
And if you’re after a particular modern artist, chances are you’ll find their work in there.
Women’s Wear Daily reveals that the book will contain shots from Helmut Newton, Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier (whose photo of Charlotte Gainsbourg makes the cover), Juergen Teller and more.
So what’s inside the LV tome?
Apparently there are three sections, one devoted to fashion editorials since 1977, one to the 50s, and one to every LV advertising campaign ever produced.
Whether you like your LV in classic monogram style or in bright Murakami multicolour, this might be the ultimate gift.
