Hollywood darling Cameron Diaz has finally tied the knot to her rocker beau Benji Madden in a twilight ceremony in Beverly Hills.

The pair were married under the stars, framed by a ‘white marquee and Chinese lanterns in front of close family and friends’, the Daily Mail reported. After two decades of unsuccessful romances, famous friends Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore and Reese Witherspoon watched on as Diaz triumphantly said ‘I do’.
Known for being bubbly, vivacious and unlucky in love, Diaz has dated a string of eligible bachelors prior to Madden (Matt Dillion, Jared Leto and Justin Timberlake, anyone?) which only ended in turmoil.
It was speculated as to whether the star would ever walk down the aisle for real, having been no stranger to bride duties from previous films ‘What Happens in Vegas’ and ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’.
Benji Madden, an adopted Australian after appearing as mentor and judge on The Voice for two years running, met Diaz early last year and only asked to be in charge of two celebratory elements – ‘the music and the cake’. The pair went to every effort to keep the ceremony a secret, Cameron even going as far as walking to the alter underneath a tent to avoid prying paparazzi lenses.
With rumours of an outfit change for the reception, will we see the elegance and simplicity of the ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ gown, or a shorter, more contemporary Vegas dress? Stay tuned…
From wedding vows to baby bliss, this year is definitely not going to be a quiet one on the celebrity news front.
The patter of tiny feet will soon fill the Reynolds-Lively household with the couple welcoming the arrival of their new daughter on 5th January. The sex and name of the newborn were kept under wraps until an overjoyed midwife congratulated the pair with a tweet.
@kimbanksy said: ‘Congrats @blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care.’ Shortly after, the Westchester Medical Center worker changed her account name and picture in an attempt to cover up her confidentiality blunder.
With the genetic blessings of mother Blake Lively and the dashing Ryan Reynolds, there’s no doubting this little girl will grown up to be a vision. Only two months ago, Ryan admitted to not knowing the sex of his expected child, but remained excited to soon have a ‘buddy’ to raise as his own.
The little petal may not be alone for very long either, with Reynolds coming from a large Southern family himself.
If the rumoured name ‘Violet’ sticks, there will be no congratulatory flowers from the Garner-Affleck clan who happen have a little one of their own called the same. Whether the leaked tweet is mere publicity or is in fact truth still remains unconfirmed. Is that the scent of controversy in the air? Your move, Blake.
