The private collection of late fashion visionary, Isabella Blow, will be on display at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum for an exclusive season from this Saturday 14th May 2016.
The exhibition opened its doors for a media preview earlier today, bringing to life a beautiful story of friendship by late friend of Isabella Blow, Daphne Guinness. Daphne Guinness brings together the fashion icon’s wardrobe collection, creating the Isabella Blow Foundation.
Isabella’s spirits are kept alive through the exhibition Isabella Blow: A Fashionable Life, with exquisite pieces from the likes of Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, Manolo Blahnik and Hussein Chalayan.
The former English editor and stylist discovered Alexander McQueen (famously buying his entire graduate collection) and milliner Philip Treacy, building one of the most elegant and famous designer collections to show for it.
Isabella Blow: A Fashionable Life features 100 pieces taken from her private collection, and offers Sydney-siders to opportunity to not only see the collection, but along side Daphne Guinness herself.
