Kate Bosworth, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Alexa Chung were front row at Burberry Prorsum’s London Fashion Week show and singer Jessie J will be dressed in something ‘epic’ at the BRIT Awards.
The glamorous trio took their place in the front row as the fashion house celebrated British eccentricities in the form animal-motif knitwear and an eclectic mix of town and country fabrics, as well as its trademark trenchcoats.
It also paid tribute to the UK’s unpredictable weather as the rain came down and models strolled down the catwalk with umbrellas.
Burberry’s creative director said, “A show needs to be emotive. I wanted to take an affectionate look at British cliches and make them into something that feels interesting and elegant. And I love the British weather, so it was fun to celebrate that.”
Meanwhile, Nicola Roberts and Kanye West were in the front row of Mark Fast’s show and the Girls Aloud star was thrilled to meet the ‘Stronger’ hitmaker.
She tweeted, “My obsession with Kanye just hit a new high after meeting him at Mark Fast show.. #LFW.
“I really love him. (sic)”
Nicola was also impressed with the show, tweeting: “The @Markfastknit show was beautiful.. Beaded crochet to die for.. (sic)”
Although the ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ hitmaker has not finalised her clothes for the glamorous event, she has promised fans they can expect something special from her.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “I’ll be my usual Essex self, wearing something epic. I was going to do it last year but thought, ‘Nobody knows me.’ “
However, Jessie is wary of criticism over her outfits after her see-through ensemble to the launch of the BRITs was widely panned earlier this year.
She explained to The Sun newspaper, “I wore a see-through catsuit at The BRITs launch last month and everyone was like ‘She wore the same thing a year before’.
“Maybe I should go casual in Nike Jordans, jeans, woolly hat, T-shirt. No make-up.”
Whatever she wears, Jessie is most excited about partying with her fellow celebrities including Adele and Tinie Tempah.
She added, “Tinie Tempah is fun to hang out with and I can’t wait to see Adele perform and give her a hug and tell her how proud I am of her. Ed Sheeran is great to watch too. I think he’ll definitely collect an award.”
