Kirstie Clements exclusive interview on her new book ‘The Vogue Factor’ for RESCUTV. Former editor of Vogue Australia, Kirstie Clements sits down at chats exclusively to fashion commentator, Glynis Traill-Nash for RESCUTV about her new book ‘The Vogue Factor’, her time at the helm of Vogue Australia, her favourite celebrities and her last day at the fashion magazine in May 2012.
On her new book, Kirstie Clements divulges in the interview, “I wrote the book to be motivational. It wasn’t necessarily to tear anybody apart or shred anybody, or, you know, the big exposé – it’s honest but it’s hopefully motivational as well.”
“I mean, I loved my time at Vogue, I was there for 25 years and it was really great up until the last five minutes, so there wasn’t any real reason for it to be a blood-letting exercise.”
Clements also dicusses her “rather swift” last day at Vogue Australia, “I really didn’t know, maybe the rest of the industry did, but I really didn’t know I was just about to be fired… There was a human resources person in the room – never a good sign.”
Watch the full interview for the rest of Kirstie Clements’ account of her last day at Vogue Australia, about spending time with Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani and how she takes on the work-life balance.
