My Kitchen Rules takes a turn when Pete is shocked by the outcome of mother and son duo Anna and Jordan’s dish in last night’s episode.
When it comes to tasting their charred octopus with duck fat potatoes and kale concoction, Pete admits he was “completely wrong” in what he thought would result in a disaster of a dish.

“When I saw you juicing the kale, I was like ‘oh no! They’ve killed the dish’” says Pete, who admits he was completely wrong, stating ‘[the kale] made the dish. I loved that dish. Loved it. It was spot on”

The sister act duo, Tasia and Gracia, also impressed the judges with their pan roasted duck dish, with a side of turnips, apple and miso, keeping them safe in the competition for another week.
Mitch and Laura’s dish of sous vide lamb was well cooked and presented, but lacked the wow factor that judges Colin and Pete were hoping for, and Gianni and Zana’s salt backed trout was over complicated, taking away from their overall rating.
Luckily, Mitch and Laura and Gianna and Zana’s dishes were both strong enough to keep them in the competition, placing Carmine and Laura’s balsamic glazed pork ribs in last place, and taking them into the sudden death round in tonight’s episode.
Tonight’s episode will feature Carmine and Laura in a sudden death cook off with Eve and Jason.
