After weeks of uncertainty, Peaches Geldof’s tragic cause of death has been revealed as a heroin overdose. The Times reports that an inquest into Geldof’s death will be told today that the young woman died of a heroin overdose, mirroring her mother, Paula Yates’ death in 2000.
Whilst the initial autopsy into Peaches Geldof’s death was inconclusive, further investigation has been successful in revealing the truth behind the incident.
The star was found dead at home in early April, leaving behind two young sons, Astala (23 months) and Phaedra (11 months).
A funeral was held for Peaches Geldof on April 21st, with family and friends mourning alongside many high profile celebrities who held the 25 year old dear. The ceremony took place at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church in the village of Davignton, in Kent.
Peaches Geldof’s coffin reflected the young woman’s vibrant and creative personality, painted sky blue with clouds, flowers and a picture of her family and pets.
Sir Bob Geldof paid tribute to his daughter, saying she was the ‘wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.’
