The TIME Magazine’s Most Influential list was released earlier this week, and last night a bevy of celebs, politicians, entrepreneurs, media personalities, and other influential figures gathered at the Lincoln Center in New York City to celebrate.
Lena Dunham, who was honoured in the list, was in attendance and spotted kissing another star and it wasn’t boyfriend and fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff but Claire Danes! It was clear from the warm smooch that Lena love Claire and it seems the feeling is mutual. The Homeland star wrote Lena’s profile for the magazine and wrote, “She is unflinichingly, unnervingly honest. Lena’s unique lack of vanity or shame allows us to consider that we may also be able to accept and express ourselves fully. This is not only impressive, it’s important.”
Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel, Christina Aguilera, Frank Ocean, and Olivia Munn were all frocked up to celebrate the influential 100 but cover stars Jennifer Lawrence and Jay-Z were sadly absent.
Chris Hemsworth touched down in Sydney yesterday ahead of a whirlwind visit for a special event which was held at the Royal Hall of Industries.
The star joined MC for the night model Megan Gale on the red carpet ahead of the event which was held in celebration of the 50th edition of the Ermenegildo Zegna Wool Trophies.
There were more than 1,000 VIP guests gathered for the event including Samara Weaving, Stephanie Rice, Rob Mills, Keri-Anne Kennerley and Charlotte Dawson.
After the official proceedings, which included longest men’s fashion show that’s been staged in Australia, Temper Trap performed for those who stayed back for the after party.
Chris, unfortunately, had to be out of his Zegna suit and ready for his flight back to LA today so his Sydney fans hardly had a chance to try and spot him!
Emma Roberts has won our hearts on the big screen time and time again, but in her latest film we’re pretty sure we’re going to hate her. And we mean that in the best way possible.
The star, who recently scored a sexy GQ cover, takes centre stage in the just-released theatrical trailer for Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring. For those of you not caught up to speed, Watson’s character in the film, Nikki, is loosely based on Alexis Neiers, a model and former reality show starlet who was involved in a series of celebrity home robberies.
While the first trailer for the film revealed a little dance floor action and not a lot else, in this second offering we get to hear Watson’s character Nikki’s distinctly spoilt Southern California accent, some of her cringe-worthy one-liners (“I wanna lead a country one day for all I know”) and a whole lot more. Let’s just say this role is far from the loveably geeky Hermione Granger!
We have to say we can’t wait to see this film and it is bound to reveal what Watson’s got as an actress – it’s one thing to play a loveable character but another entirely to make a hateable character relatable. Watch the trailer below.
