According to MONTH Luxury, the instatement of a new chief executive officer is imminent at Givenchy.
LVMH, which owns the luxury French fashion house, will announce the newcomer as Sebastian Suhl, the former chief operating officer of Prada, say sources at WWD.
“During his time at Prada, Sebastian Suhl has shown not only in-depth knowledge of the markets but also the capacity to expand and increase business dynamically and effectively,” Patrizio Bertelli informed WWD.
Suhl will replace Susan Whiteley, who held the position for one year and is returning to the UK. Before Givenchy, Whiteley had been general manager at Louis Vuitton for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.
Bernard Arnault, CEO of the LVMH conglomerate, has been nurturing his well-performing brands.
Givenchy, whose creative director Riccardo Tisci has won many a fashion fan, is poised for even greater expansion and this new appointment may be a step in a lucrative direction for the brand.
