Since the highly dramatic aftermath of last year’s The Bachelor, we imagine the pressure has been on for Channel Ten talent hunters to find a Bachelor to fill the big, insincere shoes Blake Garvey left behind.
Now we have our answer. The man for the job is Mr Sam Wood, a 34-year-old, dark and handsome personal trainer. Of course!
Know as ‘Woody’ (yep…), by those close to him, this Tassie born soon-to-be reality star now resides in Melbourne and, according to his press release, is ready to have an army of Bachelorettes fawn over him until he finds ‘the one’:
“Being the Bachelor is a real privilege and a once in a lifetime opportunity. I plan on embracing the experience with an open mind, while wearing my heart on my sleeve. I hope to find a woman with whom I share a sense of fun, an undeniable chemistry and a mutual respect. Ultimately I’m searching for the love of my life. I’m going to throw myself into the adventure and I’m prepared to have the absolute time of my life.”
In addition to being a Personal Trainer, Sam (we’re not ready for ‘Woody’ yet) is the Founder and Managing Director of Gecko Kids, a children’s health and fitness company with 35 locations around Australia. As the Founder, Sam has had on-camera experience doing media appearances and promotional videos — watch him in a Swisse Vitamins clip below:
Production of the third season is already underway at the Clifton mansion in Sydney’s Hunter Hill, but Ten are yet to confirm official start date.
