Rescu. bails up Jayson Brunsdon at Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival to ask him about his latest Spring/Summer 09-10 collection and the influences behind his laid-back glamorous feel.
RESCU: What inspired you for this collection?
Jayson Brunsdon: “The collection is inspired by my mother, Dorothy, and the easy, undone glamour of the classic Australian woman. My mother’s strength of character and practicality as well as her easy-going feminine glamour influenced the collection this season. It reflects the simple things in life – shirts, shorts, shirtdresses, sundresses and tees.”
RESCU: Describe the collection in a sentence.
Jayson Brunsdon: “A very pragmatic, practical, fluid elegance inspired by our lifestyle of barbeques and pool parties.”
RESCU: What colours are rocking your world this summer?
Jayson Brunsdon: “The colours are the sun-bleached tones of summer – shell pinks, mint greens, white, ivory, sand and earthy neutrals.”
RESCU: Who is the Jayson Brunsdon woman?
Jayson Brunsdon: “My woman is intelligent, elegant and a little nostalgic.”
